You don't need more time to think.

You need someone who will tell you the truth.

I work with CEOs as a thought partner — asking the questions no one else in your orbit will ask, naming what you've been circling around, and holding you to what you actually want.

My background is psychology and organizational behavior. So what you get isn't cheerleading. It's a clear-eyed diagnosis and a path forward.

You said it once. They nodded. You moved on.

And you assumed they got it.

Here's what I see in real leadership conversations: people need to hear things multiple times before it becomes a pattern. Before it feels safe. Before they believe you actually mean it.

That's true for feedback. For expectations. For invitations to speak up.

Repetition is how trust gets built.

What have you said once and assumed was received? by @brittdrozd

Happy Father’s Day to you! We love you!! by @brittdrozd

Before you give someone feedback — ask them how they want to receive it.

It sounds simple. Most leaders skip it entirely.

Some people want it in writing. Time to process before they respond. Others want a conversation, in real time, no delay.

Neither is wrong. But getting it backwards creates unnecessary friction — and the message gets lost in the delivery.

The best leaders I work with keep a mental (or literal) playbook for each person they lead. How do they communicate? What actually lands?

When you speak someone's language, the feedback doesn't feel like feedback. It feels like respect.
How well do you actually know how the people around you receive hard things? by @brittdrozd

The crisis-to-crisis cycle is a clarity problem.

When you're always reacting, you're not leading, you're surviving.

The shift isn't about working harder. It's about getting specific: What are we actually trying to solve? Who owns it? How will we know it's working?

Vague problems produce vague leadership.

The organizations that break the cycle are the ones willing to slow down long enough to ask the right questions — and hold people accountable to real answers.

What problem are you managing around instead of solving? by @brittdrozd

What happens when people at the top of your organization have completely different views on what's wrong... that can be scary.

The discomfort you feel when smart people disagree? That's data.

It means the conversation hasn't happened yet. Not really.

The answer isn't to wait for alignment to emerge on its own. It's to force the conversation. Deliberately. Precisely.

Because the longer the gap in understanding stays unnamed, the more expensive it becomes.

Where are you hoping alignment will just… show up? by @brittdrozd

To those who served, and to the families who carry their absence — thank you doesn't feel like enough. But it's what we have.

Hold it a little more intentionally today. by @brittdrozd
