Today makes 10 years without you, Dad. 💔

I know the world lost Shawty Lo, but I lost so much more than an artist. I lost my father, my friend, my protector, my biggest supporter, and truly the best dad in the world. There are so many people who love and miss you for the music, the memories, the moments, and the legacy you left behind—but I miss you for the little things that only I knew as your daughter.

Ten years later, and there are still moments when I wish I could call you, hear your voice, laugh with you, or just have one more conversation. I’ve had to learn how to grow, live, and become the woman I am without you physically here, and that hasn’t always been easy.

But I carry you with me every single day. In my heart, in my work, in my creativity, in the way I love, and in everything I’m building. Your legacy will always be bigger than music to me because you were my Dad before you were Shawty Lo to the world.

I love you. I miss you. And I’ll keep making sure the world remembers the man I knew—not just the artist they knew.
