It is with a heavy heart to announce that my collegiate track and field career has come to an unexpected end. After adjusting to collegiate competion, my initial back injury, and even Covid.. who would’ve that that a random Thursday hammer practice would’ve ended my career. This sport, my coaches, and my family has taught me so much about myself the past few years and I will forever be thankful for the opportunity to represent a division one school that comes from such a strong history in this sport. I’ve put my name down in history here and for that I am very proud. I accomplished so much and am trying to be proud of the potential I did have to be an amazing thrower but it’s now time to navigate what life will be like without it. This time is very hard for me but having support from my family, close friends, coaches, and teammates is making me realize that this was the best decision for me and my health in the long run. Thank you to everyone who supported me. I know God has a plan for me and it may not have been the exact route I wanted, but maybe one that I needed without realizing. Thank you Indiana State University. Taz out✌🏽🥺💙🌳 by @brittnee_james
