I hope one day I can look back on this phase of life and be like, “wow, I’m so glad I bet on myself instead of settling for another 9-to-5!” But honestly, only time will tell. 🤷‍♀️

If I was writing a parenting book for new moms (I’m not!), these would be my chapters:

Chapter 1: You’re not a bitch, you’re just tired.
Chapter 2: You don’t hate your spouse, they’re just doing everything wrong. (But they’re trying!)
Chapter 3: Reasons you shouldn’t Google everything, & how to stop spiraling when you do it anyway.
Chapter 4: Don’t worry, you’ll have sex again.
Chapter 5: ^But you should definitely use protection!
Chapter 6: A list of comebacks to use on strangers giving unsolicited parenting advice. Or your mother-in-law.
Chapter 7: Another 2 a.m. Amazon purchase probably won’t solve your problems, but these items are worth the try.
Chapter 8: Spoiler alert: It’s not going to get easier, but you should definitely pretend it does.
Chapter 9: How to make new mom friends & conversation topics to avoid once you do.
Chapter 10: You can savor this season of life & still find time to take a shower.
Chapter 11: You’re not a bad mom, you’re just new.
Chapter 12: You’re not a bad mom, but you do smell. So seriously, hand over the baby & go take that shower.

A stranger commented on a reel of the twins jumping on a bounce house & told me I was neglecting my kids their childhood because the bounce house was white instead of colorful. I hope this home tour clears that up. 😆
