She’s here! I’ve been carrying “Wildflowers” with me for nearly three years, and today, I finally get to share it with you. And humbly ask that you stream, save, and share it, too. 🤍

This song came suddenly and by surprise after walking away from music for many years, after feeling like I had no home, after believing I’d left all my dreams for dead.

It feels like the truest telling of my story, but I wonder if you might see yourself in it, too.

To anyone who’s had to leave the thing they love behind

To anyone who’s wondered if they’d find the courage to begin again

To anyone who’s buried grief deep in the soil of life

May this song be a reminder that sometimes dreams are simply buried, waiting for the right time to bloom again.

A huge shout-out to the incredible team that made this happen!

To my husband, Smitty (@kairoscreativestl), for supporting this song from day one. For speaking life into it, for dealing with all of my second guessing, for filling all of the musical gaps on keys and miscellaneous instruments, and for mixing it beautifully!

To @thecoreymartin @seanlea and @shadowscaperecords for coming alongside us on this project from the start, providing a space for @patadamsdrums to track, and for helping to produce and engineer it in those important, early days. And special thanks to Corey for the cover art!

To @calebchristopheredwards for the KILLER mando parts. Truly, this song is what it is today because of you.

To @shauncombs for that stanky upright bass business. We’re always giddy when Shaun tracks roll in, but this one is next level.

To @trentonbylomixing for making it all come together with your master. Appreciate you, brother!

Okay, that’s enough for now. Stream “Wildflowers” wherever you get your music and take a few minutes to save + share or add to your playlists! I’d be SO grateful!

This song is dedicated to our sweet @susana_merc. May you always trust the faithful hand of Jesus and know that He is enough for all of your days.

To everyone who walked alongside us last year, thank you for being the hands and feet, for being the gospel lived out.

And to anyone walking a valley season, may He give you a new song to sing. May you never forget all the ways He’s kept you, all the ways He’s made—and is making—a way. And may the steady kindness of Jesus ever be all you need.

$To anyone who’s left behind people and places and promises in the name of a better way. To anyone with dreams buried deep and left for dead. To anyone left with fractured songs and souls from commodified creativity. Perhaps it’s time to give yourself permission to come as you are once more. I’m finally feeling ready to share these pieces of my story—maybe you’ll see yourself in it, friend. Let me know if you do. ♥️ #stlmusic #singersongwriter #worshipandcreative #tellyourstory #deconstructingfaith #reconstructingfaith #reconstruction by @brittsmithmusic$

Been sitting with the faithfulness of the Father lately. Mine is a story only He could write, and one only He deserves glory for and from. His kindness is so deeply evident, so near to me right now. 🤍

“I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of God in the land of the living.” Ps. 27:13 by @brittsmithmusic

Just popping in from Switzerland to say “Hallo” and remind everyone that I released a new single last week that I’m really proud of and “used a lot of hard work” on! I’d be honored and grateful if you’d listen and share it, especially while I’m halfway across the world! Your support means the world to me, friends!

A year ago this week, I was weeping in a living room with people I dearly loved, all of us wounded by deep betrayal. Someone we trusted and had built a life with had been secretly building an entirely different identity without us. The shockwaves of that are still sending a ripple effect throughout our life. And in the immediate aftermath of the grief and loss, my friend–the one who had been betrayed first and foremost–said to me, “I feel like the last 15 years of my life are a waste.”

And I knew what she meant. I felt it, too. But I also intimately know the God who makes every hard thing holy, who sets apart our grief for His glory and our good. It’s a wonder that my finite mind can’t fully comprehend, and yet, I’ve lived it. I am living it.

This song was born from that place, and every time I play it at a show, it feels more sacred than the last. Because I know it’s not just my story. It’s yours, too.

This video is a snippet from Saturday’s house show, and in the audience that night were people

With a cancer diagnosis
Mourning the loss of a loved one
Praying for a spouse
Preparing for the mission field
In-between jobs
Crying private prayers
Struggling to pay the bills
Grieving a dream deferred
Wishing life would go back to how it once was

Every time I sing these words, I pray it’s a balm to wounds we carry in the waiting, and a reminder that nothing is wasted. Not one thing.

Tomorrow, I release a song that tells my story of the years I thought were wasted. Of dreams left for dead, of waiting for what’s next. I’d love for you to presave it and listen when it drops. It’s not lost on me that all of this is making its way into the world right now. There’s a new chapter being penned in me that only God could write, and before I share what’s to come, I’m looking back with open hands and a grateful heart that He hasn’t wasted a minute of my days yet.

Finally finding the time to share a few highlights from the @commonwellstl show with @arbourseason a few weeks ago! It was such a sweet evening together and a real joy to be able to connect with everyone who came out to @kairosstudiosco for the night! I’m so grateful this little community we’re building here! 🤍🤍🤍

Shout out to @kellylaramorephotoandfilms for these photos!

A hymn for your Monday. 🤍 by @brittsmithmusic

Wildflowers is officially available to presave!!

I’ve been sitting with this one for almost three years. It’s my story in song. It’s the opener for this album. It’s the reason we even have an album. It’s the song we knew we had to get right before anything else could follow.

It’s a song for everyone in a middle season. A song for those who’ve left dreams for dead. A song for the souls who feel unseen in the sowing.

It’s a call to see the beauty blooming in the breaking and to be brave enough to plant another dream along the way.

This song has been mine for long enough. It’s finally time to make it yours. Would you take a few minutes to presave it so you’ll be the first to know when it makes its way into the world on September 25th? I’d be so grateful, friends.

My story of leaving dreams for dead, but finding they were planted and slowly finding their way back to the surface instead.

This song has been mine for several years, and in a few weeks, it will finally be yours. ♥️

Messy hair, tired eyes, late-night mediocre video…and a whole lot of new mercy. Don’t know where I’d be without it these days.

“If You’re not in it, I don’t want it.”

The words from this bridge @nicholasjmkroll and I wrote earlier this year are forever on repeat in my head and heart. 🤍 by @brittsmithmusic
