I am so excited for LI-Lapalooza this weekend! When Joe and I purchased the Islander Store property, this is exactly the kind of community event we hoped would happen here, bringing people together for such an amazing cause and supporting education and the kiddos at Beach School is an amazing bonus!

A little over a year ago, Robyn LaRue @laruerobyn let me borrow an album filled with old photos of The Islander and Sister’s from the ’90s and early 2000s. There are so many lovely faces and memories in these photos, including some wonderful people who left us far too soon 💗

I can’t wait to see this wonderful community come together again this Saturday like we did in the past!

🎉 LI-Lapalooza Music Festival! 🎉

Get ready, Lummi Island — it’s time to amp it up! Join us on Saturday, August 29th at The Islander Store from 12:00–7:00 p.m. for an unforgettable day packed with live music from incredible local musicians (on the new reefnet stage!!), arts and craft vendors, delicious food, and an ice-cold beer garden.

Take a shot at our thrilling dunk tank, strike a pose at the photo booth, and let the kids dive into a zone full of face painting, bubbles, crafts, and games!

LI-Lapalooza is the grand finale of the Lummi Island annual Summer’s End Parade where you’ll be able to see the floats up close and cheer on the winners at the award ceremony, right before the music kicks off.

All proceeds will support the Beach School and educational opportunities for kids on Lummi Island.

Invite your friends and come celebrate the end of summer with us and your island neighbors!

🎟️🎟️ Tickets are $10 in advance (bit.ly/lila2026) or $20 the day of. Kids are free! 🎟️🎟️
