I wanted to share with you A little god send we had in our home. I waited a few weeks to share because I wanted to make sure it was working before I told the world about it.

Reiker had a concussion last summer. We did all the things we thought we were to do to monitor it. I figured he is a rough and tumble boy this is par for the course when raising kids. Well, his concussion left him with migraines. Like debilitating migraines where he would throw up and they would be excruciating for him. I was feeling so hopeless watching my child be in so much pain.

If you know me well, you know I believe that the body can heal when given the right tools. We were made to be able to heal and regenerate. I also try to treat everything as natural and holistic as possible. However when your child is in pain you just want them out of pain. His migraines got closer and closer together. He was starting to get them every 5-7 days. So the children’s Advil was in my car incase we were out and he got one and also had some in the house. I hated giving him Advil that often but he needed pain relief.

I learned that his body was still in fight or flight and his nervous system was in need of some serious settling down.

Well a good friend of mine told me about these patches that help stimulate the stem cells in the body and promote healing. I thought, well this is worth a shot. I am so glad we tried them as he has been migraine free for over three weeks now! He has been in circumstances that would have triggered him and has no headaches or migraines. He is happier and calmer and so grateful that the pain has subsided!

What a relief 🙌 we’re so grateful for this miracle ❤️ and that he can be him and shine his bright little light ✨

All my life, I’ve had the choice between love or hate… I choose love. ❤️

This week has been heavy. A man was killed—someone not everyone agreed with, but who stood for civil discourse, for questioning, for speaking freely. What struck me most wasn’t politics. It was the thought of his wife, in her 30s, suddenly a widow. It was the thought of their two little ones, too young to understand, who will now go to bed for the rest of their lives without their father tucking them in.

And then, the heartbreaking story of the young Ukrainian girl whose life was taken on the subway this week. A life just beginning. A family left shattered. The ache of a future cut short.

What grieves me most isn’t just the loss—it’s the way some people celebrate it. Some mourn. Some mock. And in that, I see how far we’ve drifted from our humanity. We’ve grown desensitized. We’ve forgotten that behind every headline is a person, a family, a soul who loved and was loved.

I come back to this truth, the one etched on my ribs: All my life, I’ve had the choice between love or hate. I choose love.

Because at the end of the day, we don’t all have to agree on politics, on religion, or on current events. But we are all here walking this life together. If we could remember that, maybe we’d soften. Maybe we’d unite instead of divide.

I believe love wins. Always. And my prayer is that, even in moments like this, we choose love.

✨ Happy Birthday to this wonderful man — the best husband and dad! We are so lucky to have him in our lives.

At 46, he’s truly tapped into what it means to age with grace — looking and feeling better than when we first started dating (which is an incredible feat, if you ask me 😉).

The only constant in life is change—and this year brings some big ones for our family. After many heartfelt conversations and a rollercoaster of emotions, our boys are heading to school!

I always imagined we’d homeschool forever, but we have two very outgoing kids who just crave being with their friends. Reiker will be going into grade 4 and Finn is starting grade 7, which is high school here.

As a mom, I couldn’t be more proud. For the past few years, we’ve embraced unschooling—following their interests and letting them learn, grow, and explore in their own way. That freedom gave them strong wings, and now they’re ready to fly.

This is a new beginning for all of us—and what makes it even sweeter is knowing they’ll be surrounded by family. Eight cousins will be riding the bus to and from school together. That’s pretty special. ❤️ by @brittymacd

Ok, last silver beach post (of the year), I promise!

This is our everything, in our favourite spot with our favourite people ❤️❤️ All 6 of together is just 👌🏼💕

They all humoured me and let me bring the big camera out for some family photos. I know I’m biased, but we have some pretty photogenic kids 😍

The last two slides are videos of us trying to make this happen 🤣 the dogs had no idea what they were supposed to do and Reiker just really wanted to jump into the lake 🤙🏽

Silver Beach 2025 – Friends Edition ☀️

One of the best surprises of this trip? Bumping into some of our favourite summertime friends—completely unplanned, but oh-so-perfect 💛

We met these amazing humans nearly 10 years ago when I was pregnant with Reiker, and it’s been such a gift to watch our kids go from little beach babes to beautiful young ladies and handsome young men.

Time truly flies… but some friendships stand the test of it. Grateful for these golden summer moments and the people who make them shine ✨
