Nothing like some team bonding to kick off the Fall! Today the boys are working together to put the final touches on our field as we prepare for Fall Ball to begin in two weeks with a field day to make sure everything is ready to go. 🚨Alumni Weekend🚨 Join us on Friday, October 2nd and Saturday, October 3rd for our Brockport Baseball Alumni weekend. Last year we had over 90 golfers, and 50 alumni back to celebrate with us, as we connect generations of Brockport Baseball players, families, and supporters. We hope to see as many of you as possible for Golf and the Alumni Game. The order of events are as followed: Friday 10/2 Alumni, Family, and Friends 2nd Annual Golf Tournament at Salmon Creek. 12:00pm Shotgun start. $75 per person this year. Saturday 10/3 10am- Baseball/Softball Training Facility Reveal to Alumni, honoring members of the 1972 Sunyac Championship team. 10:30am- Alumni Batting Practice 11:30am- 2nd Annual Alumni vs Current Roster Game 3:00pm- Lunch for Baseball Roster, Alumni, Family, and Friends at The Clark V Whited Complex. 6:00pm- Courage Bowl vs. St John Fisher We’re excited to connect with as many of our alumni as we can for alumni weekend, so please keep your eye on the link for registration for the Golf Tournament in our bio. 🚨Brand new Golden Eagle Training Facility 🚨 If you’ve noticed, the construction crew has been working tirelessly to get the frame of our brand new Baseball/Softball Training Facility up this past month. Once the final doors go on, we will be ready to add the electricity, turf, and batting cages inside the shell to complete our project out at the Clark V Whited Complex. Thanks to the extreme generosity of the Whited family, the hard work from our Baseball and Softball programs working Bills games to fundraise money for our Spring Break, and all of your support from Days of Giving this past Spring, we are almost there. We’re reaching out for one final push to raise the final bit of money we need to complete the project prior to our Fall seasons beginning. We will have a link in our page for a place to donate, and we most certainly can’t thank you enough for everything you’ve done for our programs, and continue to do. Your donations specifically go towards the turf, netting, and screens that will fill the training facility. In combination with the reveal of the building to our Alumni on October 2nd and 3rd (2nd Annual Alumni, Family and Friends Golf Tournament and Alumni Game), donations in over $200 will result in a free entry to our Golf tournament this year. Congrats to Matt Coon, who has been named by the ABCA to the 3rd Team All-Region Team as a First Baseman. Matt hit .359 this season totaling 55 Hits; 13 Doubles, 1 Triple, and 12 Homeruns. He also produced an OPS of 1.155, slugging .693 while driving in 48 runs for your Golden Eagles this season. Matt also carried a 26 game hit streak over the duration of the season, which is the 2nd longest hit streak of all-time in program history.
