i believe one of the most important things i will ever teach my babies is the Word of God, so i am doing my part to equip them with TRUTH. to me, this supersedes affirmations. we can’t believe anything good about ourselves if we don’t know where Goodness comes from: our Creator, Redeemer, Father, + Savior. helping them memorize scripture is like handing them the pen so it can be “written on their hearts” 🤎 by @broganadex

2024 was the year i experienced a quality of God more than ever before: His FAITHFULNESS.

wrapping up a season of navigating new + unknown territory with an immensely grateful heart. He has blessed me abundantly and continued to provide time and time again. He never forsakes us. in fact, He is writing a story far better than the one we would like to author on our own. by @broganadex

it was a year ago that God prepared me for such a time as this. i stood in the doorway of our bedroom and told russ that i felt the Spirit nudge me that change was coming, that He was going to shake up our whole lives. in the coming months, we walked through more transition than ever before as a family — including russell being very unexpectedly let go amidst mass work layoffs. but somehow, in a time when the world would say just h u s t l e harder and make up the difference of lost income, i heard God say “PAUSE. BREATHE.”

despite the fear, despite the confusion, despite the discomfort, i chose obedience.

i not only made the incredibly difficult decision to close the doors of GRIT + GREY after 6 years of building it, but i also took a major step back from monat.

it was as if God took me by the shoulders, forced me down into a field of open grass and said “CHILD, SIT.”

praise the Lord i listened. i have tasted so much fruit through surrendering to Him: freedom, joy, the ability to be fully present, little to no distraction. it was like seeing the world through a different lens. at the same time, i knew deep within my soul that the stillness was only part of God’s command for me. that it was momentary and leading me elsewhere.

but where??

much of my time ‘pausing’ was spent in prayer begging for discernment about whether to press play on my life as it had been once before or make a change moving forward. i wanted to hear him. i wanted to follow my great Shepherd.

“GOD, SHOW ME WHERE YOU WANT ME.”

i asked, and He answered. it was time to wrap up my chapter with monat. to officially step out of the former + into the new. to once again, surrender, obey, + now move back into action IN FAITH.

which is why the story doesn’t end there.

oh what He had in store for me + my family. 🦋 His way is always better, always worth it.

— as i close out my time with monat, i want to acknowledge how deeply grateful we are for the season He had me there + the blessings He provided through it. thank you to all of my customers for trusting me. and to my team… i am always here for each of you + forever in your corner.

today marks the closing of a beautiful chapter of our lives, a dream fulfilled, a vessel we pray was used for God’s glory.

He has blessed us abundantly through our sister-owned business as we clothed + styled each of you for over 6 years. as we depart, may you know your true beauty comes not from the things you wear but from the image you bear as a child of God. you are HIS, and THAT is where your worth + identity is found.

thank you for being part of the GRIT + GREY family and for your continued love + support. we trust the Lord to lead us faithfully into whatever is next. and maybe it will involve you all again. 🤎 stay tuned.
