Still in utter disbelief of all that I experienced on Saturday. I still do not know the words OR how to say them to express my gratitude for having @knewthewords at @daisychainfields .
The people that came to this festival were all so special and unique but they had one thing in common and that was pure kindness. I laughed with so many people. I cried with so many people. We talked about our hopes, who we missed, our excitement, and our resiliency. I met little kids going to their first concert. I met people who went to Lilith Fair so excited to have a new generation getting to experience the power of womanhood. I met people so present and excited to have a place to share their thoughts and scream sing their favorite songs. I saw people making friends. I saw lovers sharing sweet kisses. I saw besties creating memories. I saw families sharing moments that they will cherish forever.
I’ve genuinely never experienced anything like this festival in my life and that is all thanks to @oliviarodrigo making an opportunity for all of this to happen while also making the world a better place with her philanthropy. I’ve never shared publicly the domestic violence I experienced in my young twenties when I thought of this show and knowing that @freefromdotorg will be benefitting those affected by it means more to me than I can ever express.
My heart is exploding with joy and gratitude. And a special thanks to all of my friends who helped make this little booth what it was. A place for reflection. A place to be vulnerable. A place to connect with yourselves and everyone who participated. When we all come together we really can make the world better🌼 by @brohemiaraspberry

This year, on my birthday, I made my very first vision board. I filled it with my hopes, wishes, and dreams.

After my art show closed, I knew that what I had started was one of my true life missions, and I couldn’t stop thinking about how to continue it. Then, only a few days later, I got the best phone call of my life: @knewthewords is coming to life at Daisy Chain Fields!!

When I placed a photo of a mirror at a music festival on my vision board, I couldn’t quite imagine how it would ever come to fruition. Music festivals have always been my place of refuge, restoration, and revelry. They were where I found my joy again at 17 and have been my happy place ever since. It was my dream of all dreams on that board, and getting to realize it feels like a testament to taking risks and allowing yourself to dream bigger than you ever thought possible.

I also filled my board with intentions of charity and giving back. After my show closed, I donated everything I had to the incredible Alexandria House. To now be invited to continue this show at a festival that is entirely charity-based feels nothing short of fated.

This show was built for my younger self, and some of my favorite moments from the first run were the conversations I had with young women who shared how much the experience helped them pause, reflect, and find new ways to be kinder to themselves.

And now, there will be an entire festival filled with inspiring young women who might stop by. I can’t wait to continue these conversations!

Will never be able to explain the gratitude I feel about this opportunity!! I’m tearing up even writing this🥹

I said boo ya and then I said yes!

About two weeks after Molly and I had started seeing each other, I stumbled upon this song. We were at that beginning awkward / obsessed with each other phase and were constantly on the phone with each other. I remember wanting to send her this song but knew that was too soon. But it was true. I loved her. I already felt it. And I feel it more and more every day. And I will love her forever 💛 by @brohemiaraspberry
