If you’ve ever waited tables, cried in a dive bar, danced in weird costumes in the street, tried to pay rent in drink tickets, or been in love with a city that might not love you back, this is your book.

Comment “book” and I’ll DM you a link so you can check it out. taken in San Francisco, California by @brokeassstuart

Dating apps are broken. Kindred and @brokeassstuart are bringing back the set-up to the Bay Area.💜

Grab your best wingperson and join us for a matchmaking mixer at @southernpacificbrewing on November 5th at 6p.

This is a chance for SF’s most eligible singles to meet alongside the people who know them best. Because we trust our friends way more than any algorithm.

🎟️Tickets are BOGO $20: daters grab a ticket, your amateur Cupid attends for free. (purchase at link in bio) taken in San Francisco, California by @brokeassstuart

🎃♻️ A Halloween Supply Hidden Gem!

Check out @mannequinmadness in Oakland… it’s an incredible hidden gem that is a must-visit as you decorate and prep for Halloween.

They’re giving away FREE mannequin heads, hands, arms, and legs to support local artists and the community this Halloween! They also have discounted full-size mannequins and offer creative classes every other Sunday for $60, with all materials included, to make headdresses, wearable art, or anything your imagination dreams up! 🎨✨

Think of it as Oakland’s own SCRAP SF with its own creative twist. It’s a treasure trove of reusable materials and creative finds perfect for artists, makers, costume designers, and anyone with a creative project in mind.

There are reports that ICE is launching a new massive 45 day campaign called “Operation Safe California” where they will be terrorizing immigrants. Even Governor Newsom has called it a campaign of fear.

Please look out for each other.

Shout out to @bayresistance for putting this info out there.

Here’s part 2 of our SF Local Propositions Voter Guide. There will be one for CA propositions next week.

Here’s the cheat sheet:

Prop A – No
Prop B – Yes
Prop C – Yes
Prop D – No
Prop E – No
Prop F – No
Prop G – 🤷‍♂️
Prop H – Yes
Prop I – Yes
Prop J – Yes
Prop RTM – Yes

Note: This is very much just a high-level look at the props. I used @sfpissedoffvoters and @sfrisingaction when working on this.

You can use the very cool @openballot.app to compare lots of different voter guides.

The 1st Marine Division Brass Band playing Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit” yesterday in San Francisco’s Huntington Park.

I’m really not a fan of Fleet Week but this is kinda cool.

In these times, when political debates seem to need a preschool teacher rather than a passive moderator, and conversations often circle back to weighing the merits of robots that might also end humanity, “Peter Pan Goes Wrong,” now at @sfplayhouse might just be the right medicine.
