OPEN LETTER TO ADMIN

**OUR DEMANDS:**

• Refusal of Collaboration with ANY federal border agency.
• Acknowledgment of our affected communities.
• Immediate implementation of the SAFE ACT (SB 98) - Alert students, faculty, staff, and other campus community members of ICE presence.
• Provide alternative forms of instruction for students who are unsafe on campus.
• Provide safety protocols in case of ICE presence in campus facilities. by @broncoydsa

As voted in a recent GM meeting by our members, here are our points of unity!

Points of unity are our chapter guiding document to continue our work as YDSA. This helps us find common ground with other orgs outside our ours, but also reach prospective members who are interested in what we stand for.

This doesn't start and end with one frat house at Cornell. We demand better from ALL the institutions that are supposed to protect us during our time of education. 1 in 3 undergrad women will experience a form of sexual abuse during their studies. While popular culture fell into jingoism after the 9/11 attacks in 2001, The Boondocks didn't shy away from saying it like it is. Don't fall for myths claiming no one knew better at the time. Blowback, the unwanted repercussions of American interference in West Asia, was and still is a taboo topic. First used by the CIA to refer to future consequences of Operation Ajax (the 1953 coup d'état of Iran's democratically elected prime minister Mossaddegh, which directly led to the Iranian hostage crisis and Islamic revolution), blowback often seems like random political violence to civilian populations. The popular narrative of 9/11 intentionally overlooks Al Qaeda's origins from US assets in the region, helping to manufacture consent for the "War on Terror." The victims of the 9/11 attacks take priority over the war's massive death tolls in Iraq, Syria, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Libya, Somalia, and Yemen. On this day, we remember the 937k directly killed by the War on Terror, and the estimated 3.7 million indirect deaths. (Source: Cost of War project)
