East End Dubs at Hï Ibiza 🔊🔥

Finally got to experience East End Dubs at Hï Ibiza, and what a fantastic night!

We started in the Theatre with Lulu warming up. Absolutely faultless, although personally the music wasn’t quite my cup of tea. My friend thought she was one of the best DJs of the night, which just goes to show how subjective music is. No criticism whatsoever just different tastes!

Then into the Club Room for Chinonegro, who, for my taste, delivered a masterclass in warming up. Started with an empty room and finished with a packed one. Tough to begin with, but the music and mixing just got better and better. 👌

Luuk van Dijk had a hard act to follow but absolutely nailed it. Around 90% underground, with just enough familiar moments including a seriously tough remix of Shakedown’s At Night, which took the roof off! 🔥

It looked like Luuk may have gone back-to-back with Paco Osuna, too.

Caught the last 15 minutes of Marco Carola on the way out. His music is probably the most up my street, so I wish we’d caught more, but by then we were pretty much done! 😂

Luckily, just a 10 minute walk back to the New Orleans Inclusive Hotel.

Not many photos far too busy dancing! 🕺

Fantastic music, fantastic mixing. Well done to all the DJs! 👏

A lovely moment handing over to Pete Tong, the applause, the cheers, the warm reception. ❤️

And then there’s me leaning over apparently imparting 30 years of DJ knowledge to Pete. 😂

I’d love to claim I was passing on some of my extensive wisdom, but actually I was just telling him that one of the decks was drifting, it felt respectful to one of the greatest of all time ! 🤣

I think we’ll leave the DJ lessons to Pete. 😉🎧. What an honour thank you @thatcharlieg @fistralstereo and @lustyglazebeach taken in Lusty Glaze by @bronx_cheer

24 years later…
The first time I saw Pete Tong DJ was 24 years ago, the year I moved to Newquay. He was playing at Barrowfields as part of a Radio 1 Big Weekend, alongside Fatboy Slim and Erick Morillo.
Strangely, that was also the year I won a competition on Radio 1 to go backstage and meet Fatboy Slim. I remember thinking that was pretty bloody exciting at the time, but I certainly never imagined that 24 years later I’d be sharing a stage with Pete myself. by @bronx_cheer

Pete Tong. Bronx Cheer. Lusty Glaze. 🌅🔥

This Saturday, 22 August, I’m seriously excited to be part of the Lusty Glaze Sundowner Sessions alongside Pete Tong, with an amazing lineup including Robin Parris, Sunset Social Club and Little Legs.

I’m on at 7:30pm, warming things up before Pete takes over from 9pm.

Not going to lie… seeing BRONX CHEER on the same poster as PETE TONG still feels pretty bloody good. 😎

Let’s make it a big one. 🕺💥

Had a bit of fun and ended up making a little Bronx Cheer “Private Edit” of Kym Sims – Too Blind To See It.

Calling it a Private Edit probably guarantees it won’t stay private for very long... 😂

It seemed to go down rather well this weekend. ❤️ by @bronx_cheer
