Consider this your reminder: rest doesn’t have to be earned. 🤎

You don’t have to finish everything on your to-do list, reach your breaking point or prove that you’ve done “enough” before giving yourself permission to slow down.

For everyone who spends so much time showing up for others, remember to make space to show up for yourself, too.

Rest is a part of wellness, not a reward for productivity. ✨

Save this for the days you need the reminder. by @bronzevillewellness

Bronzeville has a long history of community showing up for community. 🤎

During the Great Migration, thousands of Black Americans made their way to Chicago and built new lives on the South Side. In the face of segregation and limited access to resources, residents created businesses, churches, organizations and institutions that helped their community connect, grow and care for one another.

That spirit of community care still lives in Bronzeville today.

More recently, Bronzeville residents recognized another need: mental health care that is local, culturally grounded and accessible.

So, once again, the community came together to help build something designed with Bronzeville in mind — Bronzeville Wellness Collective.

The needs may look different today, but the legacy of showing up for one another continues. by @bronzevillewellness

Wellness doesn’t have just one look. 🤎

Sometimes it’s getting enough rest. Sometimes it’s moving your body, spending time with people you love, setting a boundary or simply making space for something that brings you joy.

And sometimes, wellness means recognizing when you need support and asking for it.

However you care for yourself, take a moment today to check in with what YOU need.

What does wellness look like for you? ✨ by @bronzevillewellness

When was the last time you asked yourself what kind of rest you actually need? 🤎

Sometimes a full night of sleep isn't the answer. Your body may need a break, your mind may need quiet or you may simply need space to feel.

Take a moment to check in with yourself today.

There’s so much history within these walls. ✨

Once home to the legendary 708 Club, this Bronzeville building has long been a space for music, culture and community. Today, it’s entering a new chapter as home to @havendentalstudiochi and soon, Bronzeville Wellness Collective will call this building home, too. 🤎

We’re excited to join a space with such a meaningful past and continue its legacy of serving and bringing together the Bronzeville community.
