Hey friends, a few big announcements & BIG mixed feels!

This Saturday is the last installment of our group residency at @juliamartingallery - opening from 5-9! I’m so lucky to have been a part of this, and I’m looking forward to seeing what everyone has been working on 🖤

In other news, I have decided to shut my website down for now, as I’m amidst some big life transitions & have not been able to sustain enough support to keep this thing afloat full time.

The shop will be up through June 10th. Please check out what’s available there and share away 🖤

I’m not super clear on the road ahead but hope to share new work here if/when I have it. Thank you so much to all of you who have supported me and this body of work over the last few years. Deep gratitude to you 🖤 by @brooke.gillon

Join Brooke at Potluck Teahouse for an afternoon of clay, tea, and plant-inspired textures 🌿🍵

In this beginner-friendly handbuilding workshop, you’ll make your own slab-built ceramic jar for storing loose leaf tea, herbs, or maybe some of your tiny trinkets needing a home!

We’ll be using fresh plants and natural materials to press botanical textures into the clay, creating organic patterns and one-of-a-kind surfaces.

No pottery experience needed — Brooke will be guiding you through it step-by-step! ✨

Thank you to everyone who came out last weekend! I’ve loaded all remaining work onto my site for those afar. Still have this sweet pomegranate incense box + several mugs & bowls.

Also have a few spots in the altar workshop happening this Saturday. This may be the last one I do for a while. Come over! by @brooke.gillon

One little swallow candle holder will be available this weekend.

I’ve been including lots of swallows in my work over the past year or so, and they’ve been showing up all over the place ever since I called them in. The folk music of my maternal ancestry that I’ve been studying is filled with images of these migratory birds - they are woven into grief-filled stories of loved ones who immigrated & those who were left behind, sweet messengers on the wind.

As we are faced with all of the hatred & bigotry fueled by fascist leaders and the separation created by colonization & arbitrary nation-state borders, migratory birds remind us that movement and migration are a part of life. May we all be free to move and belong wherever we are 🕊️ by @brooke.gillon

Hey folks, this Saturday I’m opening up the studio for a pop-up Mother’s Day weekend sale! I’ll have some new work available, & Jack will be offering a few of his hand-carved spoons. I’m also doing something I’ve never done before & selling (or giving away!) all of my teaching demo pieces & weirdo experiments from over the years. These will be offered at sliding scale, truly pay-what-you-can from zero-2k & beyond, lol. Please share far & wide, and come see us this weekend. DM for exact address! by @brooke.gillon

Coming into this space is more & more disorienting, but it’s still a place to share info about my work & where to find it, so here I am.

First of all, I need to tell you about the biggest news from our corner- WE HAVE BABY BUNNIES! My sun has been tending two does & a buck for nearly a year & we were beginning to wonder if they would ever have kits. Aries babies are finally here & right on time!

In pottery news, i’ll be adding new work to my site on Wednesday, so keep an eye out for that. And I’ve still got some large scale vessels over at the @juliamartingallery alongside so many brilliant artists! Sadly, i’m going to be out of town for the @goddess_craftmarket for the first time ever, but I hope you’ll go & find something nice for yourself or your ma.

Despite the horrors, life persists. Hold onto each other friends! by @brooke.gillon
