To the pup who fixed my broken heart after losing my childhood dog at age twelve, never did I imagine this day. Today we said goodbye to our sweet boy. From chewing holes in the carpet and busting through the window screen to get to the FedEx man, I would do it all again. Though I hated to see you go, I know you are no longer in pain sweet old man. Thank you for being the best doggie role model to Cinder during your short time together, even if you couldn’t stand her. Wishing I could hug you and cuddle with you one last time. Say hello to Max and Grizzley for us up in doggie heaven. Thank you McKendree for the best three years of my life! The Lord allowed me to cross paths with each of these beautiful people and I cannot be any happier about it. Thank you for watching me cry, laugh, and blossom into the educator I am. I truly believe McK has the BEST education program and professors around.

Becoming a teacher has been a dream of mine for as long as I can remember. I loved playing school with my stuffed animals and dolls all the time as a little girl. Even when it came time for me to start elementary school, I loved every single moment. In fact, I’d cry if I couldn’t go because I was sick. My love for learning and education is deeply rooted within me. I had several teachers who changed my life more than they’ll ever know. My teachers were always there for me when I felt that others maybe weren’t. Because of these amazing teachers and my love of learning, I am here today in hopes to have the same impact on others. I love my job and thank the Lord each day for giving me this gift and passion. Here’s to the start of a life-changing journey for me. I’m almost halfway through teaching my first year in fifth grade and still wake up excited for work each day! I am blessed to hear “Miss Zitta” over and over each day!❤️👩🏻‍🏫📚🍎✏️📓🖍️ by @brooke.zitta
