i think we sometimes forget that healing doesn’t always have to look like doing more healing.

sometimes you don’t need another journal prompt.

you don’t need to process it.
you don’t need to understand it.
you don’t need to sit in your feelings.
you don’t need to work on yourself.

sometimes you need to put on an outfit that makes you feel hot, go out with your girlfriends, flirt with strangers, dance until 2am, laugh until your face hurts, and remember that you are still so f*cking alive.

last night, something shifted in me.

after a year that has felt heavier than i ever could have imagined, i felt a version of myself come back online that i haven’t felt in a really long time.

playful.
confident.
sexy.
spontaneous.
free.

i wasn’t thinking about everything i’ve lost.

i wasn’t trying to figure out what comes next.

i wasn’t healing.

i was just living.

and f*ck, it felt good.

i think there are seasons where healing asks us to slow down, turn inward, feel everything, cry the tears, and let ourselves fall apart.

but eventually, i think healing asks us to come back to life, too.

to go out.
to play.
to flirt.
to dance.
to laugh.
to stay out way too late.
to do something completely unexpected.
to remember there is still so much life waiting for us on the other side of what broke our hearts.

last night felt like turning a corner.

not because everything is suddenly healed or because i’ll never have another hard day.

but because for a few hours, i wasn’t thinking about healing at all.

i was too busy living.

and maybe that’s part of healing, too. 💋 taken in Portland, Oregon by @brooke___lyons

i’ve had this bottle of chardonnay sitting around for months waiting for a “special occasion” to open it.

and today i was sitting outside reading my book in the sunshine on a random tuesday afternoon, and i kept thinking about how nice a glass of wine sounded.

but then came the thought:

i’m not going to open a whole bottle just for myself.

and almost immediately after:

wait… why the hell not?

why am i saving something i want to enjoy for some imaginary future occasion that’s somehow more worthy than this one?

maybe a beautiful fall day is the occasion.

maybe having nowhere i need to be is the occasion.

maybe sitting in the sunshine with a good book is the occasion.

maybe my own company is the occasion.

maybe life itself is the occasion.

so i opened the good chardonnay. 🥂

and honestly, i think this is something i’m learning more and more in this chapter of my life:

stop waiting.

stop saving all the good stuff for someday.

wear the outfit.
buy yourself the flowers.
light the candle.
make the reservation.
take yourself somewhere beautiful.
open the wine.

you don’t need another person there to make a moment worth enjoying.

your life is happening right f*cking now.

and sometimes that’s reason enough to celebrate. 🤍 by @brooke___lyons

A few years ago, I saw a gap in the way that sound was being facilitated and taught, which led me to create Quantum Sound Method™ and go on to train dozens of practitioners.

It has been an absolute honor and a privilege to share this work with so many of you. 🥹

Over the years, this method has been shaped by hundreds of sound baths, years of facilitation, practitioner trainings, research, observation, refinement, and countless conversations with students.

Every lesson inside this certification has been created with intention.

Every framework has been tested in real-world practice.

And every piece of this training reflects what I’ve learned through years of doing the work.

Today, I’m incredibly proud to share the new Quantum Sound Method™ Professional Crystal Bowl Sound Bath Certification.

The training I wish had existed when I started.

A clear, structured methodology for facilitating sound baths—not just playing crystal bowls.

And for the first time ever, it’s available as a self-paced online certification.

This isn’t just a course launch.

It’s the beginning of a new chapter. 💛

And I couldn’t be more excited to share it with you.

✨ Enrollment is officially open.

DM “course” and I’ll send you the details.

With so much love,

maybe you don’t know what’s next.

maybe you don’t know what you want, where you’re going, or what the next version of your life even looks like.

maybe you can just… not know for a minute.

we put so much pressure on ourselves to have the answer. to have a plan. to know what we’re working toward.

but maybe some seasons aren’t meant to be figured out. maybe they’re meant to be paid attention to.

pay attention to what gives you energy and what drains it.

pay attention to the people you feel most like yourself around.

pay attention to what you’re curious about. what you keep thinking about. what you’re suddenly drawn toward.

pay attention to what doesn’t fit anymore, even if you don’t know what’s supposed to replace it yet.

pay attention to the moments that make you feel really f*cking alive.

maybe those things are showing you the way.

you don’t have to know exactly who you’re becoming while you’re becoming her.

you’re allowed to evolve. to change your mind. to figure it out as you go.

your life doesn’t need to be figured out right now.

maybe your only job is to stay curious, keep showing up, and pay attention.

sometimes i think about how many people have shaped my life who, at one point, i didn’t even know existed.

people who became home.
people who made me laugh until i cried.
people who saw parts of me i hadn’t learned how to see in myself yet.
people who loved me, challenged me, changed me, and became woven into the story of my life.

and it makes me think about all the people i still haven’t met.

the friendships that haven’t happened yet.
the conversations i haven’t had.
the person i might someday fall deeply in love with.
the people whose names mean absolutely nothing to me today, but who could someday mean everything.

and maybe my favorite thought of all:

there are people i haven’t met yet who are going to absolutely adore me.

not just love me.

adore me.

the way i laugh. the way i think. the way i get excited about things. my quirks. my softness. my intensity. the little things about me that someone else might not even notice.

and there are people out there i’m going to adore in exactly that way, too.

there’s something incredibly comforting about remembering that.

especially in seasons when loneliness feels a little louder. when you miss someone. when you miss having a person. when it feels like maybe the deepest connections of your life are already behind you.

there is still so much life i haven’t lived.

so much connection i haven’t experienced.

so much love i haven’t given.

so much love i haven’t received.

there are people walking around this world right now who i haven’t met yet, and someday we might look at each other and wonder how there was ever a time when we didn’t know one another.

i think that’s so beautiful. taken in Portland, Oregon by @brooke___lyons

i saw these trees today and was immediately moved by them.

the kind of beauty that makes you stop what you’re doing, look up, slow down, and just take it in for a minute.

and all i wanted to do was create something in response.

not because it needed to become anything.
not because there was a purpose.
not because anyone needed to experience it.

simply because something beautiful made me feel something, and creating felt like the most natural way to respond.

i think we need more of that.

more allowing ourselves to be moved by the world around us.

more creating simply because we feel inspired to create.

more adding beauty to the beauty that already exists.

sometimes that’s reason enough. 🤍 taken in Portland, Oregon by @brooke___lyons

never will i ever abandon myself in a relationship again.

i knew i was doing it, too.

i knew there were parts of myself i was making smaller. needs i wasn’t voicing. things i wanted that i had convinced myself i could live without. parts of my life and myself that i had slowly stopped prioritizing.

because when you’ve built a life with someone you love, preserving that life can start to feel more important than asking yourself whether you’re still happy inside of it.

and for a long time, i thought that was what commitment looked like.

compromise. sacrifice. choosing the relationship.

but there’s a difference between compromising with someone you love and continually compromising yourself to keep them.

i know that now.

i still want big love. i still want partnership. i still want to build a beautiful life with someone again someday.

but i never want to love someone so much that i stop listening to myself.

i never want the fear of losing a relationship to become greater than the fear of losing me.

so yes, i’ll compromise.
i’ll grow.
i’ll meet someone halfway.
i’ll fight for something worth fighting for.

but abandon myself to keep it?

never again. taken in Portland, Oregon by @brooke___lyons

girl, get dressed.

a series mostly created because i desperately need my own advice 😂

when you work from home, it becomes waaaay too easy to wear the same sweatpants for three days straight because “no one is going to see me anyway.”

but here’s the thing: i’m going to see me.

and i know i feel more confident, energized + like myself when i actually put a little effort into getting dressed.

so i’m challenging myself to stop waiting until i have somewhere to go or someone to see to put on the damn outfit.

not for them. for me.

consider this your invitation to do it with me.

grief is weird.

sometimes it hits you when you least expect it and suddenly the things that normally feel easy feel like they require more energy than you have to give.

today was one of those days.

i cried a lot. i felt deeply sad and lonely. and by the end of the day, i didn’t have it in me to cook dinner, make plans, be productive, or try to turn my mood around.

so i heated up a can of soup.

i put on my favorite show.

and i let that be enough.

i think sometimes we put so much pressure on ourselves to do something with our hard days.

go for the walk.
do the workout.
journal about it.
process it.
shift the energy.
find the lesson.
make ourselves feel better.

but sometimes you’re just f*cking sad.

sometimes your heart hurts.

and sometimes taking care of yourself simply means feeding yourself something warm, getting cozy on the couch, and allowing yourself to have a hard day without trying to turn it into anything else.

tonight, this is enough. 🤍 by @brooke___lyons

the first steady rain we’ve had in months. 🌧️

after a summer of sunshine, movement, activity, and outward energy, today feels like an invitation to slow all the way down.

to turn inward.
to soften.
to release.
to let go of whatever feels heavy.
to surrender what you don’t need to carry into the next season.

so I opened the windows, listened to the rain, and played my bowls.

a little sound bath for the changing season.

let the rain wash it away. 🤍 taken in Portland, Oregon by @brooke___lyons
