my sweet grandma 🕊️

When I think about any important life milestone, I see you cheering me on front row. Your Scottish accent made me feel like I was at home and your hugs could immediately make me feel better.

Recently, I keep thinking back to the stories you would tell me about when you were my age. You traveled the world, living in Norway, Scotland, and America, and didn’t let anything hold you back. You were the OG independent woman. I aspire to be like you.

When I was wanting to go into cosmetology and many people were questioning it, you told me without skipping a beat to follow my heart. Thank you.

Our shopping trips are engraved into my brain. Trying on a million outfits and you telling me that they are all “so cute”. I would say that I don’t have the money to buy them and you wouldn’t hesitate to grab them and say “I’ll get them”. The most generous woman I know.

You were the fun Grandma! At the waterpark, you would go down the water slides. At the park, you would be on the playground next to me. I can remember going to the science center and zoos together. We even would make dolls out of clay that you made yourself. There was never a dull moment with you. by @brookebarkey

2025: a year that changed my life 💌

This year, I decided to follow my heart and switch to my dream career, bought my first new car, lost 25 pounds, took up new hobbies, adopted my sweet cat, Gizmo, traveled, and met some of my best friends 🤍 So beyond grateful and blessed to be living this life. Thank you to everyone who has been apart of my 2025.
