It doesn't matter how slowly you go as long as you don’t stop 💘

dibs 🖤 by @brookebeckxo

6 months ago I made a decision to stop drinking.
I didn’t have stereotypical “rock bottom”
I didn’t lose my house
I didn’t lose my kids
I didn’t lose my job
What I did lose, was myself.
I lost myself years ago.
I used to tell myself it was okay to drink because I still took care of business.
In reality I wasn’t.
I took care of my kids, I worked, gym, all the ins and outs of running a household.
Hungover, half-assing everything I did.
A version of myself I got sick of being.
I didn’t want to get to a point to where I couldn’t stop.
So I woke up Jan 1st and said no more.
It’s been lonely, eye opening, and one of the best things I’ve ever chosen to do.
I feel like I’m getting to know myself all over again.
I learned so much from this experience and I look forward to reaching a full year.
You don’t have to hit rock bottom to change your life.
Thank you to the people who support me & encourage me during the hard days.

Hi everyone — I just launched a fundraiser for Zy’Land’s family, who are going through an unimaginable loss. They lost their baby at just 7 weeks old, and this grief is heartbreaking. Donations will help cover funeral costs and ease their financial burden during this difficult time. Please consider sharing or donating if you can — every bit of support means so much. Thank you for helping this family feel less alone in their grief. ❤️

Today we started our journey to Braces! 🥰 by @brookebeckxo

You are finally reunited with each other. This morning God called our grandpa home. I will forever miss hearing your war stories, the different jokes / reasons about how you lost one of your fingers (I still don’t know the truth), and watching you cook a salmon. You will be missed.
