What an honor to be able to produce such meaningful pieces of work with my @fourteeninetyfive family for a project that represents the importance and value of intersectional identities and culture.

‘One Ummah, One Barrio’ is a year long project by Maia Villaba @maiaaaiaaa, dedicated to highlighting the history of Muslim Nuyorican activism in New York City and representing the vastness and diversity of the Ummah in New York City and beyond!

I’m so incredibly grateful to have been part of a team trusted to bring this vision to life! This work and other pieces created by phenomenal muslim artists are available to view at El Barrio’s Artspace from now until August 30th! 🥹💐🤍

Officially ONE WEEK of FLOAT ON and I could not be prouder of my family for stepping up and bringing this vision to life!🤍

Stepping into @fourteeninetyfive as the Producer has been one of the most rewarding experiences in my development as an artist and as a human being.
Producing FLOAT ON pushed me to grow as a leader, organizer and artist. From shot lists to stylings, this project gave me the privilege to witness the brilliance of the creatives that make up 1495. Artists that hold a passion, care and dedication so strong, it shines through every piece of art they pour themselves into.
