I officially graduated cosmetology school with my best friend I first started with, and it’s hard to put into words how much this journey has changed me. We spent over 1,000 hours together, learning, growing, and pushing through every high and low side by side, and I’m so grateful we got to do it together. When I first started, I thought I was simply learning how to do hair, but I quickly realized I would learn so much more about life, people, and myself. This season has stretched, challenged, humbled, and grown me in ways I never expected.First, hard work always pays off. There were long days, difficult clients, moments of self-doubt, and times I felt exhausted, but showing up taught me that growth comes from perseverance.Second, kindness matters. In an industry that can feel competitive, I learned that encouraging others and celebrating their success will always take you further than comparison.Third, confidence comes from knowing who you are. Cosmetology school taught me skills, but also to trust myself, believe in my abilities, and stay true to who God created me to be.Most importantly, this journey strengthened my faith. There were so many moments I had to surrender my plans and worries to the Lord, and He reminded me His plans are greater than my own. Every opportunity, lesson, challenge, and victory showed His faithfulness, and I truly would not be here without Him. To my family, thank you for your endless love and support. To my friends, thank you for cheering me on. To my educators, thank you to every single one of you for your guidance and patience. And to every client who sat in my chair—thank you. You were a huge part of this journey. This chapter is ending, but a new one is beginning. I’m excited to keep growing behind the chair, become a blonde specialist, and continue learning my craft. One day, I hope to create my own blonding method and make my mark in this industry. Most of all, I trust God with every step ahead.
