Spending today recovering from what is always our craziest week of the fall. We started with Owen’s football game on Monday (where he ended up with a concussion), district marching band showcase for Jacob Tuesday night, team dinner and 3 hour band rehearsal for Jacob Wednesday, football game Friday, and ended the week with 2 marching contests yesterday where Jacob left the house at 6:40am and returned at 12:30am today. We still have a lot of band and football season left but this week being done is a huge one! by @brookerod

Week 3 with a win! Jacob got some more playing time and some tackles, we only saw the back of him while marching (in socks!), and he had his own cheering section when the trombones had a Jacob cheering going! Madeline got to hang and dance with her highstepper friends. Football and band season is so busy but so fun! by @brookerod

One last Rangers game for the summer! Owen finally got a ball from a rangers player and was thrilled! Madeline made it on the Jumbotron with Owen’s sign. Jacob and Josh tackled the sombrero nachos. by @brookerod

Week 2! White uniforms make him easier to spot in band, but we only got the back of him this week. Also marching in socks due to the quick turn around when we are visitors! Lost Madeline to drill team and Owen to the sidelines. by @brookerod

Tonight was helmet decal night for football, so Jacob officially got to decorate his helmet for varsity! Ready for his first game tomorrow! by @brookerod

This week was preview week for this crazy season. Friday night Jacob had a first scrimmage playing varsity for football, woke up this morning to be at all day band starting at 8am and wrapping up with parent preview tonight! He has been juggling both of these already for the last 4 weeks but next week gets really real when he plays in a game and in the halftime show! by @brookerod

Love hate relationship with these pictures every year! Seeing how much they have grown and how old they are makes me sad, but knowing all of the awesome things they are doing makes me so happy to see the people they are becoming! by @brookerod

First day of Junior year, 8th grade, and 5th grade! Last year of middle school for Owen and last year of elementary school for Madeline (and ever for our family!) We started early today and the boys were gone by 6:30am for football and Madeline was ready to go and made it to school before the doors even opened. by @brookerod
