Things are looking a little different these days!

I feel very fortunate to be working at Macdonald Realty Squamish. This past year has been everything I could have hoped for and more thanks to my brokerage and my clients! I have always thought about a career in real estate and in 2023 it became a reality.

Squamish Real Estate Market Update: September 2024
It’s a Seller’s Market for Townhomes
In September 2024, the Squamish real estate market has continued to demonstrate varied trends across different property types:
• Houses saw a slight decline in benchmark prices, decreasing by 1.8% to $1,524,700. The number of listings also fell by 14.2%, with 103 listings on the market, but sales remained stable at 7 homes sold, representing a 0.0% change compared to last year.
• Townhomes experienced the most notable shift, with prices rising by 2.8%, bringing the benchmark price to $1,039,700. Listings surged by an impressive 61.3% to 50 townhomes. Sales more than doubled, with 22 townhomes sold, marking a 100.0% year over year increase in activity.
• Condos saw mixed results. The benchmark price dipped slightly by 1.0% to $627,900. However, the number of listings soared by 93.9%, reaching 64 units, while sales dropped by 14.3% compared to last years, with 6 units sold.
Across all market segments, the sales to active ratio for September 2024 was 16%, which is considered a balanced market.
