Bye Bye 20’s… 👋👋👋!!! My Little Baby Snoop is THIRTY years old Today!! 🙌🎉❤️… Ohh Lu, what a ride you’ve had so far in this journey- all before you’re 30. I am struck as always by your ability to keep that inner light you have shining so brightly after all of the loss and change you’ve endured. Lil’s and dad and I were a very happy family of three. I remember thinking life couldn’t get any better than this! Then on December 6, 1995 the three of us were literally blinded by your light.. right when I brought you home from the hospital you belonged to your sister and the two of you were inseparable. You brought so much joy and entertainment into our lives with your beauty and exuberance- your ability to make us and everyone around you smile. Now at 30 years old you have not dimmed but gotten even brighter.. you know how to retain that even while learning how to live in our new world of immense grief. You found joy because you are joy! I am soo excited for you to get to Lisbon so we can celebrate all over again 🎉.. Keep shining and never allow anyone or anything try to take that away from you ❤️.. What better way to celebrate 95 anos than a Girls Trip!!! 🎉🎉🎉. My gorgeous friend, confidante, mentor, partner in crime, best playmate and yoga partner and I took a fabulous trip to the Caribbean to soak up the sun ,swim and snorkel with all of the colorful fish, get massages, eat everywhere and everything and most of all do loads and loads of yoga!! 🧘‍♀️ 🧘‍♀️… We belly laughed the entire 12 days! Nanny @nanceeebh you are a gift to me 🎁.. you are truly medicine for for my soul .. I might have lost my blood relatives but this family has welcomed me with open arms and I have been running towards them ever since ❤️🎊… I love you my bestie and we will continue to keep the party going when Lulu and I join you in Madeira for New Years 🎊!! taken in Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands by @brookey_har

Sometimes my favorite thing to do living in Portugal is just watching daily life. These beautiful kind people and their culture is still captivating.. watching these women hang their laundry over this cliff and the care and attention to their task at hand was mesmerizing.. Happy Mother’s Day! I hit the jackpot with my Mamacita Moozie! 🩷 Missing her and Lil’s immensely this year and feeling sad to be far away from my Baby Snoop @lulugreeen …So I threw a brunch and surrounded myself with these gorgeous new Portuguese neighbors of mine and my new eclectic mix of International expat friends! Thank you everyone who still reaches out.. I’m feeling pretty lucky to have a mother I cherished and daughters and nieces and fur babies I’ve played my favorite roll to.. being a Mom 🥰.. Spectacular Thailand!! 🇹🇭… what a treat to see this Amazing country with its staggeringly gorgeous beaches and warm clear turquoise water.. I had so much fun swimming through caves, learning how to cook Thai dishes, exploring temples and experiencing the Thai culture. I loved our special group of people.. new friendships and bonds were made ❤️. Summer 2024 💛 has been an amazing adventure! Seeing new places and visiting old friends @susan_rcse @heatherjwhite62 @srlnrl in Newport Beach, CA. Was such a treat!! 💕🩵… my childhood besties taking good care my girl @lulugreeen !! And I was even able to celebrate my father in-law’s 86th birthday in Essex, CT 🎉 In NY I got to spend time with @nanceeebh and eat in our fav NYC spots and do amazing yoga classes! Nothing like being able to attend my favorite annual summer party in the Hamptons with my other bestie @shaggydogproductions (aka Barn 💙). But to have my family and friends visit me here in my new home of Lisbon, Portugal has been the absolute highlight of my summer!! I’m so grateful for all of the kindness and generosity of everyone that traveled here to see me! Without you I would be very lonely 🥰… you are all making it easier for me to transition into this new exciting and scary stage of my life. Seeing you @lulugreeen @sydthesly and @rizadoink makes me feel safe, and together with the gorgeous new friends I’m making here in Lisbon , I think this is going to be okay. Wonderful even 🙏🩵 Thanks again to @eldorayestes for getting me on your show so I could see You! And my little one’s @fundip and @ris_haley I miss working with all of you so much! Here’s to an exciting new season of starting my in person grief groups here in Lisbon, now that I finally completed my grief education counselor program. I can’t wait to begin to try and help others that are struggling to live in a world full of sadness and loss. I’m feeling confident that we can form a connection and not just learn to survive. May is National Mental Health Awareness Month 💚 May 25th 2020 is also Lily’s Fourth Angel Birthday … It’s important for us to promote mental health as part of our overall wellness - Let’s reduce the stigma associated with mental health concerns. In the beginning it was enough to manage existing in a world without Lily .. the more time that has gone by the “grief bombs” seem to appear softer, the longer I’m living in this world without her physical presence, the more I miss her in a different way. In a way I didn’t realize was even possible. Be kind to yourself. Be kind to other’s.. we never know what kind of pain someone might be struggling to live with.
