This past weekend wrapped up the last days of @thesacredmovementacademy ’s Winter Yoga Teacher Training! It’s bittersweet but my heart is so full.

This was my second time serving as a mentor, but really the first time I felt grounded and empowered as a teacher in the container of a teacher training.

One moment that was so heartwarming this weekend (there were so many!) was watching one of the students teach their final class and remembering that I had actually met them months ago. We crossed paths during a random yoga class I offered in the park, and had a friendly conversation after about my path to becoming a teacher. To see them teaching at the front of the room felt beautifully full-circle.

It also reminded me how powerful even the smallest moments and connections can be. And that’s a power we all carry. Even when it feels small or scary, showing up or speaking up can spark something in someone else, even if you never know about it.

So grateful to @iraimer.ruiz.lopez for being a great mentor and creating this space, to the other mentors (@samantha.marie.ortiz, @ericaviles_ , @rubyschmittt) for your grounding presence and support, and to this group for showing up authentically & sharing so much time, joy, and love with me.💛 Traditional Yoga teacher training nyc by @brookliz

I practiced moving intentionally. I practiced presence. I observed my thoughts without claiming the stories they told. Practicing Yoga consistently has provided a way for me to strengthen my connection with my body, mind, and intuition.”
