The other day, Nathan and I went to a restaurant for dinner and I noticed they had a nativity in their display case.

As I looked closer, I noticed there wasn’t a baby Jesus in this nativity.

There were wise men, Mary, Joseph, animals but no baby Jesus.

I said out loud to Nathan, “What’s the point of having a nativity without Christ??”

It got me thinking that sometimes Christmas can become about the setting, the busyness, the gifts, parties, etc. But without Christ, those things lose their meaning.

It was a great reminder to me that I want to be more intentional about placing Christ back at the center not just in what I celebrate, but in how I live, love, and serve others.

Because just like that nativity, everything can look complete on the outside, and still be missing the most important part.❤️💚 by @brooklyn_pope11
