Guz asked me to make a compilation video to express our gratitude to the tailgate hosts. We were all very eager to show them appreciation but hated the idea of speaking directly to the camera. I had Guz record his first. In 28 seconds, he recounted a variety of property damage caused by the event, swore at least three times, and gave Waskie the middle finger. This is his video along with footage of him (somehow) winning the tournament.

Nick and Beth, please accept this montage as a sign of our endless appreciation for opening your home to us and making this incredible event possible. by @brooklynboundsteph

17 years of official competition, 4 games, 2 incredibly generous hosts, and 1 minority female to keep things running. The introduction of AI sparked protests from both players and spectators, known haters of change, who communicated their disapproval by hurling deeply personal insults at the organizer. A copycat tournament held just weeks earlier threatened to capture the spirit of tailgate but ultimately failed to produce the level of shenanigans that can only occur in a pants-optional backyard. Despite these affronts, or perhaps fueled by them, the organizer took home the championship belt. This reel and caption were created without AI because I’m smarter than Guz. by @brooklynboundsteph

Women can’t be friends with men unless they want the kind of strength that women aren’t supposed to have.

These are some of the men who don’t expect me to smile, serve them, or play small. Now someone go check on Scorsese and make sure he’s ok. by @brooklynboundsteph
