Reproducing a work of art involves striking the right balance between staying true to the original and creating a new presence for it on paper. For this delicate artwork, ARCHES® BFK Rives® Pure White was chosen in order to preserve the subtlety of its soft tonal transitions and muted colour palette. The paper’s pure white base allows the gentle variations of light and shadow to remain beautifully visible, while its soft, balanced grain adds a tactile quality that complements the image’s almost ethereal character without overpowering it. The reproduction was produced by the Canson® Infinity Certified Print Lab, Brooklyn Editions Inc., in New York, where technical expertise in printmaking and photography is combined with an artist’s eye. Each project is approached with close attention to the original work, from colour and tone interpretation to paper selection. This approach allows the softness, depth, and quiet simplicity of the original artwork to be captured in the final print. 🔸Artist: Renée Levin (@reneelevinstudio) 🔸The print is titled "A PEARL NO. 02" 🔸All copyright belongs to © Renée Levin #CansonInfinity #FineArtPrinting #ArtReproduction by @brooklyneditions

More pics from @brooklyneditions running my oil on copper work, "𝙍𝙚𝙢𝙣𝙖𝙣𝙩𝙨", through their new high-powered Metis Scanner 🪄 technological magic meets studio meditation 🎨 • 📸 @martin.czajkowski thanks for the dope pics and for facilitating this experience 🙏🏽 • #KingDavidArt #BrooklynEditions #Remnants #copper #metisscanner by @brooklyneditions
Got to visit my friends at @brooklyneditions and run my oil on copper painting, "𝙍𝙚𝙢𝙣𝙖𝙣𝙩𝙨", through their brand new Metis DRS 2020 large format scanner 🔌 trust me, this was a wild experience 💫 • • • It would be futile to try and describe the level of detail this machine is capable of capturing. The process of making this particular piece involved aggressive removal; by scraping the entire pre-existing painting off the copper surface, I imbued the work with a palpable examination of the presence of absence, harmonizing what has been left behind, hence its title 🎨 • This scanner, the same kind used by historical institutions like the @metmuseum, was able to reveal marks across the copper surface that brought me back in time, as if I was reliving the process of making the work by seeing scractches and abrasions that would normally be very difficult to discern with the naked eye or even a hi-res photo 👁 • Tremendous thanks to the BK Editions team for facilitating this scan of a piece that has already found a great home 🙏🏽 more pics to come 📸 • #KingDavidArt #BrooklynEditions #scanner #copper #Remnants by @brooklyneditions
We are pleased to present new work by @simonaprives at the 2026 IFPDA Print Fair. For this presentation, Prives partners with pioneering master printmaker @danwelden.solarplate and print studio @brooklyneditions to produce a new suite of works merging traditional and alternative printmaking techniques. Combining intaglio, soft ground etching, solarplate, and archival pigment printing, the series yields intricately layered imagery that bridges the organic and the man-made. Prives’ dreamlike landscapes, imbued with elusive open-ended narratives, is released in an edition of 5. Each impression is individually collaged by the artist, making every work uniquely her own. A wonderful video of my first painting scan! 💜 Scanning and video done by amazing @brooklyneditions Scanner used is a Metis DRS 2020. The results are really impressive, especially with regards to the color. This painting will be part of the “Passport” show at Nanny Goat Gallery in California this April. #art #drawing #illustration #painting by @brooklyneditions
I have the great pleasure of working with talented and passionate people for my fine art prints. People that will put the same love and energy as I do to make sure only the very best comes out of their studio. Thank you @brooklyneditions for your dedication ! #fineart #print by @brooklyneditions
So, @brooklyneditions really upped their game recently. My latest pieces were scanned on their new Metis DRS 2020, the largest and most advanced scanner in the New York area. It’s a 100% contactless process that captures the finest details in just a single pass. And the way it manages glare with ease is super clutch, especially with my work that always has a pretty glossy sheen. Combining that with the texture of the canvas, the hotspots and other noise were a real challenge for other photographers. But man, these new scans just SING. I’ve mentioned it on many occasions, but because of this game-changer, I thought it was worth bringing up again: If you’re an artist looking to have your work reproduced at the highest quality, Brooklyn Editions is THE choice. #BrooklynEditions #baseballart #GraigKreindler by @brooklyneditions
It’s finally landed, our newest scanner, the Metis DRS 2020. Now up, running, and already hard at work. If you’ve stopped by our studio this year, you’ve already gotten the grand tour. But if you’re just finding out today — we currently have the largest and most sophisticated scanner in the New York area💥 Capable of scanning with extremely high color accuracy up to 1600 PPI, full lighting control, the ability capture 3D texture (with depth map), and an 8 ft long bed, this scanner can contactlessly digitize most artworks in a single pass. For those of you creating pieces even larger, pixel perfect stitching pieces together scans for even further possibility. We’re excited to showcase the work we’ve been doing on this as we continue to explore the infinite capabilities of this incredible machine. 📧 Reach out to us if you’d like to check it out yourself too —> info@brooklyneditions.com #BrooklynEditions #MetisScanning #FineArtScanning #ArtworkScanning #3DScanning by @brooklyneditions
What if… In November 1988, the Alva Posse climbed out a studio window in Chicago and onto a fire escape. Two rolls of Polaroid film. A case of Budweiser. No plan. Stephen Scott Gross shot the image in black and white. It became iconic. But what if he had loaded Kodak color film instead? This AI colorization isn’t an attempt to rewrite history— it’s a way to sit with it differently. Same moment. Same people. A parallel version that never existed. All the best, H.O.A.
