A year ago today was one of the most scariest things I’ve had to experience. Never in my life have I ever had an injury that bad. “Waking” up on a tailgate not knowing what happened was quite frightening. Still to this day I APPRECIATE everyone who came to my side, and aided me in any type of way possible whether that was bandaging me up, or taking care of me before I decided to go to the hospital, sitting with me in the hospital for hours on end, showing up to my house to help me change bandages, letting me come over so I could get help changing bandages, taking me to my appointments because it was hard driving manual with my arm in the sling, or just even all the kind words of support that came my way. There’s too many people to name (and trust me i remember everyone’s name by heart that aided me in some type of way) that did such kind things for a person who’s always felt like the odd one out. No matter what you all did for me even the simplest, smallest things I’ll forever be thankful for. I’ve learned a lot mentally about life, and physically how much pain I can endure from that experience. Even though now I’m stuck with some nerve damage nothing will ever stop me from getting on my bike, and trying something new. ❤️ by @brooklynnellie
