First HYROX - Mens Open Singles @ 1:28:13 and a couple of lessons learned along the way. Race day was my first time using most of the equipment - I was really manifesting that rewatching the same Instagram reels over and over again would compensate for my lack of experience… ha.ha. I’m happy to have finished without puking or receiving time penalties and I’m excited to give it a better go next time :)
Feeling extra lucky to have a partner in @mark.duffy who took off work to run around Pier 76 cheering me on at every station and buys me beers after :))
Here’s a good pic for ya and here’s a GREAT pic for ya

TW: SENTIMENTAL
7yrs between these pictures and I’m stuck thinking about the passage of time and how sweet of a privilege it is to watch your friends grow up, navigate new cities, new jobs, relationships and ultimately.. fall in love(😛) Grateful for long friendships, aging like wine and (most importantly) sending Jillian down the aisle this October :)
