The hardest part about men's mental health isn't just stress—it's the isolation. It’s carrying the household, the business, and the expectations of everyone around you, knowing that if you slip up, nobody is there to catch you. You’re expected to be the rock, but even a rock starts to crumble under that kind of weight day after day.
We have to normalize checking on the strong ones, because the ones holding everything together are usually the ones falling apart quietly.

🚨 BIG ANNOUNCEMENT: #SoulfulSunday on Oak 93.5 has a new start time! Catch us every Sunday starting at 3:00 PM for a full 2 hours of real talk. Tune in and lock in with us!
protecting your peace ✊🏾

Why should you buy into Fertile Ground Food Cooperative? Because its YOUR community.

You can take ownership of your food source and help create jobs, provide nourishment, and build security in SE Raleigh and beyond.

Hear our President of the Board, Erin Dale McClellan, discuss this with Marvin Brooks on #SoulfulSunday.

Buck and Bri got the streets talking. They are the movement.

From the concrete of Amityville to the head-turning moves of Made Mobile Truck Rentals and BlaQK Collective, this duo is a masterclass in raw, unstoppable hustle. They don't wait for a seat at the table—they knock that MF down and own the whole block.

Follow their grind. Hear the voices behind the vision. Pure power, real talk, and the kind of chemistry that only comes from true creators on fire.

And they are bringing that fire straight to the mic to drop all the details on their next massive event: Bite the Beat Pt. 5.

Tap in with us this week on SoulfulSunday on Oak 93.5. Come for the energy and see why Marvelous Marv & SB Michelle have the streets on lock.

🔥 Follow the movement:

🪴 Nourishing the Neighborhood: Beyond the Grocery Store!

What does it take to own our future? It starts with a seed.

We sat down on SoulfulSunday with Erin Dale McClellan (denai sankofa) and Meisha Gayle from the Fertile Ground Food Cooperative to talk about the real work behind community ownership. It’s not just about fresh, affordable food—it’s about gathering, healing, and growing together from the ground up.

From an idea in 2011 to a community-led movement born in 2013, find out how they pivoted to answer the call of Southeast Raleigh and turn a vision into a reality.

🎙️ Hosted by: Marvelous Marv and SB Michelle

When passion meets plant-based perfection, magic happens. ✨ Join me, Marvelous Marv, and my co-host SB Michelle, aka Felisha Brooks, as we sit down with Tara Coley of Bright & Early Vegan Bakery on SoulfulSunday.

Tara is the owner of this local woman-owned artisan bakery, which is dedicated to creating exceptional vegan pastries. We’ll be diving into how she creates her specialty—handcrafted vegan croissants—using fresh, locally sourced ingredients from our area farmers. Plus, we're discussing her mission beyond the kitchen: being passionate about fostering community through collaborations with other local small businesses and makers.

Catch the conversation on July 19th on Oak 93.5 WRLY-LP and get inspired by what's on the menu—and in the heart—of this amazing local business! 🎙️🥐🌱
