FORTUNE TELLER FISH

Part two in a two-part series celebrating National Poetry Month, using prompts from @poetryfoundation as guides.

This week’s poem takes inspiration from Adele Elise Williams’s lesson: “Engaging the Ordinary.”

The writer is to take an object from their bedside, or within immediate reach, and base a poem around it. The guidelines are somewhat open-ended, but encourage observation and change in perspective.

The object of choice here was the Fortune Teller Fish, a fun, clairvoyant pastime. by @brookspoems
