Mark your calendars for MUSIC IN THE DALE! Brooktondale's First Annual Porchfest will feature 30+ local bands and musical groups. There are approximately 10 locations in Brooktondale hosting groups with music playing from 2-6 pm, with Cast Iron Cowboys finishing out the day at Brookton’s Market at 6:30 PM. Please come walk around Brooktondale for the afternoon, enjoy some music, grab a snack or drink at Brookton’s Market and check out a vendor or two at the Community Center! This program is made possible in part with funds from the Statewide Community Regrant program from the New York State Council on the Arts, with the support of the office of the Governor and NYS Legislature, administered by the Community Arts Partnership of Tompkins County. by @brooktondalecc

Do you want to plant a fall garden? There's still time! Here's what the Almanac suggests: https://www.almanac.com/gardening/planting-calendar/zipcode/14817. Add to that herbs... especially cilantro! Also, carrots, cabbage, Brussel sprouts, and broccoli. The BCC Seed Library will be open every Sunday morning from 9-10am through Porch Fest: 8/2, 8/9, 8/16, and for the duration of Porch Fest on 8/23. Located in the Old Fire Hall. There isn't a sign on the street yet, we are working on that. Stop by, someone will be there! Seed donations welcome! SIGN UP FOR A FREE CLASS TO LEARN ABOUT PREPARING FOR EMERGENCIES Each family that attends will receive one preparedness kit. Registration is required to attend the event. To Register visit: www.prepare.ny.gov OR scan the QR code WHEN: Wednesday, June 3, 2026 6:00 PM WHERE: Brooktondale Community Center Main Meeting Room 524 Valley Road Brooktondale, NY 14817 With severe weather events becoming more frequent and more extreme, it is more important than ever that New Yorkers are prepared for disasters. The NY Citizen Preparedness Training Program teaches residents to have the tools and resources to prepare for any type of disaster, respond accordingly and recover as quickly as possible to normal conditions. This training course will provide an introduction to responding to a natural or man- made disaster. Participants will be advised on how to properly prepare for any disaster, including developing a family emergency plan and stocking up on emergency supplies. Each family that attends will receive one preparedness kit. THIS EVENT IS BROUGHT TO YOU BY GOVERNOR HOCHUL IN CONJUNCTION WITH NEW YORK NATIONAL GUARD AND THE BROOKTONDALE COMMUNITY CENTER by @brooktondalecc
