You’re not physically here today for your birthday, but in every other way you are. This TERRIBLE photo of us is one of the last I have, so I don’t care. I treasure it. Your voice is still so clear and loud in my head, and that helps. Miss you heaps. That’s what we always said. Heaps. Love you forever. 💚 by @broomski

These words, by my dear pal Jackie Kay, make me stop and think every single year. The poem is up in our house. I rarely get things right, but this poem makes me feel I can keep trying. Here’s to peace, love, laughter and being ok when it’s not ok. 💚 by @broomski

So very grateful and happy to be ending the year work-wise on such a high. Directing Tartuffe, The Imposter (in a version by John Donnelly, that’s important because it’s the funniest version) was the best! Directing COMEDY is the best. Love these guys at @rwcmd. I’ve very high hopes for them. Photographs by Simon Gough. 💚💚 by @broomski
