Jesus Christ never taught us to look down on people. ❤️

“We need to heal. We can’t keep opening the wound.”

What would happen if we spent less time judging and more time listening?

For our LGBTQ brothers and sisters, healing begins when we choose compassion over condemnation and make room for voices that too often go unheard.

Following Jesus Christ means treating people with dignity, loving as He loved, and creating space for everyone to feel seen and heard.

How can we do a better job of following the Savior’s example? Share your thoughts below. 👇

He was on his mission when a talk from President Monson brought him to tears.

Not just emotional.

He says he experienced a kind of sorrow he had never felt before.

While studying the talk, he felt a powerful spiritual realization: not all of Heavenly Father’s children would choose to return to Him.

And it completely broke him.

He described sitting there, crying uncontrollably, telling someone:

“People aren’t going to make it.”

For a missionary whose entire focus was helping people come closer to God, that realization hit differently.

But what do we do with the sorrow we feel when we realize we can't make someone choose faith?

Maybe that question is bigger than missionary work.

Maybe it’s about agency, love, and trusting God with the people we care about most.

Have you ever had a spiritual realization that completely changed the way you saw something?

What if not everyone makes it back the way we hope?

That can be a hard thought to sit with.

We naturally want everyone we love to experience the same things we hope for ourselves. But this conversation explores a different source of comfort: the idea that God’s plan doesn’t end with a simple “made it” or “didn’t make it.”

The doctrine of degrees of glory teaches that there are different outcomes, and that God is a perfect judge who understands every person, every choice, and every circumstance.

There can still be joy.

There can still be happiness.

And there can still be hope.

Maybe “joy in the morning” means trusting that God’s final judgment will be far more perfect and merciful than anything we could imagine.

Does this doctrine change the way you think about heaven and judgment?

Is your car more important to God than you think?

Probably not.

But what if the real question isn't what you worship… but what you prioritize?

"Thou shalt have no other gods before me."

That can mean more than idols or celebrities.

Your money.
Your career.
Your relationships.
Your possessions.
Your food.
Your ambitions.

None of those things are necessarily bad. The question is whether any of them have become more important to you than God.

Because sometimes the "other gods" in our lives don't look like gods at all.

They look like things we simply refuse to put second.

What’s one thing people can accidentally put before God?

How do you honor your parents when your relationship with them is broken?

That’s a question a lot of people quietly struggle with.

What does “honor your father and mother” actually look like when there’s distance, unresolved pain, divorce, or years of unanswered questions?

For one of the speakers in this conversation, that question became deeply personal.

His parents separated, and for years he struggled with his relationship with his father. One question kept coming back:

“Why did you and my mom get a divorce?”

Sometimes faith doesn’t mean pretending a relationship is perfect.

Sometimes it means figuring out how to navigate something painful while still choosing to follow Jesus Christ.

There may not be an easy answer.

But there can still be a way forward.

Have you ever struggled with what it means to honor a parent when the relationship is complicated?
