When your brows start looking a little grey… 👀

It doesn’t necessarily mean something has gone wrong.

PMU pigment is made up of different colour components, and as it naturally fades, those tones don’t all disappear at the same rate.

The warmer red and yellow tones tend to soften first, while the darker pigment can hang around longer. The result? Your once-warm brown brows can gradually appear cooler, ashy or slightly grey.

But here’s the good news… we can fix the grey 🙌🏻

A colour correction uses a warm correcting pigment to help neutralise that cool/ashy appearance and bring your brows back towards a more balanced brown.

So if you’re looking at your old PMU thinking, “Why have my brows gone grey?” — don’t panic. They may just need a little warmth added back in. 🤎

Want to get the most out of your Lip Blush appointment? A little preparation beforehand can help set you up for a smoother experience and healing process.

Here are a few things to keep in mind 👇🏻

💋 Hydrate those lips! Gently exfoliate and moisturise daily in the week leading up to your appointment. We want your lips feeling soft and hydrated, not dry or chapped.

☕ Skip alcohol and caffeine for 24 hours before your appointment.

💊 Check your medications. Some medications and supplements can affect bleeding. Never stop prescribed medication without speaking to your doctor first.

❤️ HAVE YOU EVER HAD A COLD SORE? PLEASE READ!

Even if you haven’t had one for years, Lip Blush can trigger a cold sore outbreak because the treatment involves trauma to the lips.

If you’ve ever experienced cold sores, it’s important to let me know before your appointment. Your GP can prescribe antiviral medication and when you should start taking it.

This is an important step in reducing the risk of an outbreak during healing. Unfortunately, prevention isn’t guaranteed, so please don’t leave this until the last minute!

If you have an active cold sore, tingling or burning that suggests one is developing, please let me know. We’ll need to postpone your appointment until the area has completely healed.
