Found a little spot inside Cinco de Mayo Supermarket in Batavia, IL, and there’s a pretty cool family story behind it.

First stop: @almascafecito And yeah, save me a seat! 🍽️

Thank you to everyone who came out and helped make this Cuts & Coffee night what it was.

For showing up.
For sharing your stories.
For being part of the room.

A special thank you to Legacy Nutrition and Alma Cafe for partnering with us and helping us create the experience, and to DJ Sower for providing the soundtrack for the night.

This is what we mean when we say community. Different people, different stories, one room.

Good coffee. Good stories. Good people.

We’ll see you at the next one.

A week from now, you’ll either be there… or wish you were.

Cuts & Coffee officially launches next Saturday night. ☕️

Good coffee.
Good people.
Good stories.
And a live DJ set by Sower Music.

No pressure. No networking agenda. Just good people in the same room, music playing, coffee pouring, and conversations happening.

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 3 • 7PM
📍 Good News

This is the launch party.
Don’t hear about this one afterward.

Come for the coffee.
Stay for the conversation.

Labor Day in Chicago. ☀️

The past couple of years, this has become our little end-of-summer tradition. The kids look forward to it, and honestly, so do we.

A day in the city, some good food, a little walking around, and time together before summer gives way to the next season.

Just a tradition I hope we keep for years to come.

SOMA means body.

As I looked at this picture of my wife and me, I was reminded of God’s design for marriage:

“The two shall become one.”

Two lives.
One covenant.
One pursuit of Christ.

Marriage isn’t just about standing next to each other.
It’s about becoming one as we follow the One who gave Himself for His body, the Church.

That’s the beauty of SOMA. Many people. One Body. One Savior. One mission.

Follow ➡️ @soma.night for more info on the next event.

Fatherhood teaches us that some things are simply beyond our control.

Our calling isn’t to control every outcome.

Our calling is to remain faithful.

We pray.
We trust.
We keep loving.

The rest belongs to God.

One of the hardest acts of faith is trusting God with the people you love most.
