When James speaks of prayer in scripture, James mentions that we must do everything in our power to do what we prayed for. We then pray for strength and that when we fall short, God will meet us there. Can we honestly say that we have done everything we can to eliminate mass shootings? by @brown.matt.s

I was watching a TV show (lethal weapon), this week and main character had died and in working through the death of his partner he said “The thing about having a partner is, it means you don’t have to do it alone”. In thinking about this quote it made me think of the creation story when it says that God made Adam and Eve or in Hebrew it be humankind and life or breathe. To me this is a metaphor for God partnering with us as God gives life and we are humanity. This means that God will live with humanity in partnership and we don’t have to do it alone. by @brown.matt.s
