David Hockney was so ahead of his time, as all true artists are, and embraced technology before anyone else did. Polaroids, photocopiers, fax machines and of course iPad. He brought lightness and romance to gay life when everyone else was hiding from it. His pool paintings changed my brain chemistry. I got to visit David at his studio in London in 2010. He was so prolific and incredibly hardworking. We talked tech, made sandwiches and shared a smoke. It was one of the most defining moments of my life. It's not often you get to say you got to work with one of the masters. David Hockney's art will live on beyond all of our lifetimes. How lucky someone will be when they get to discover him for the very first time. 💙 by @brownbart
