Still learning how to play this thing, but it’s a LOT of fun 👌🏻
It’s not perfect, but nothing ever is it seems. Still… wicked vibe though!

Enjoy! ☺️

Hardware: Akai MPC Live II
Software: Toontrack Superior Drummer 3

A little split screen vibe of a groove I cooked up.

I’m sure there’s a joke in there about playing with myself or something, but I’m way too mature for that kind of thing…

Enjoy!

PS: no quantising or correcting here either! A lot of bloody takes, but that’s par for the course, innit…

Little clip from a recent gig. Wicked band. Loads of fun. Too many fills.

I regret nothing.

Getting my head around learning to play finger drums on an MPC Live II. Loads of fun! Bit of a chill vibe this time ☕️

Using some great drumless tracks by @nategroove to roast myself - go and check these out here: Natewilliams.bandcamp.com 👌🏻

(Superior Drummer 3 coming in clutch too here👌🏻) <— using the MPC in controller mode to trigger the plugin, hence the lack of pretty colours on the hardware. Can’t have everything I guess!

Enjoy! 🥁 🎧

Day 1 of learning to use the MPC Live II by @akai_pro to play some drums. Bit of a random/very rough shred over a little loop I made (mostly with @rolandglobal Zenology plugin and a custom bass patch @laurence.jepson.music made).

@dfingersh makes this sh*t look easy. This is because he’s ludicrously good.
I can assure you, it isn’t easy.

Running the MPC through Superior Drummer 3 with the “In The Pocket” expansion by @ashsoan.

This is SUCH a roast but it’s SO much fun!

!!! WARNING The following video contains incredibly niche references than maybe 5 people will get, and 3 of them won’t even find it that funny… !!!

24k Magic, just prior to a short excursion to The Crunch.

Most of us have never even been to The Crunch. Oh look, there’s a bit of Crunch…

This was extremely silly and I regret absolutely nothing. Loads of fun at the @606club with @natalieduncanmusic and @alanmianmusic. An impromptu extended/improvised outro to Crashing Into The Dark, from Natalie’s new album “Black Moon”.

My chops were thoroughly tested… and I’m not sure they all passed.

Black Moon 🌑

✨️ Out Today ✨️

My album is out now!!
I've lived with these songs for some time now. From 'Bad Side Of Love', written 5 years ago - my final closing of the door on toxic relationships, to 'Silk Road' the most recent song, defining my love of synthesisers and unnecessary key changes mid verse lol.
I think there's something for everyone on this album. It's a bit Jazz, a bit Hip-Hop, even a bit Drum n Bass.
All written and recorded at home 🏡

Go run it up on streaming platforms, and please listen to it as a whole album 🥹

Love, Nat 💜

Humongous shoutout to everyone involved.

Please Don’t Stop The Music… but Please Just Stop ✋

Awkwardly trying to recreate some semblance of a nod to a song that was better the first time round anyway... Adding my own unique layer of unnecessary nonsense in the process 🤦🏻‍♂️ This is what innovation looks like in 2026, guy. Also big up the clap-stack… well I say “clap-stack”, I already had clap-stack at home…

If you recognise the song this section was lifted from, let me know 👍🏻

(If you can PLAY the original, then props - it’s a roast and I didn’t even attempt that here, obviously)

This video is short, stupid, and all-round excessive. 🤦🏻‍♂️
