POSTS STORIES REELS

Here’s the full view of ‘You Dead Yet?’
As humorous as this image is, to me, it also speaks of a couple of scary topics.
1) The scarcity of food that the wild is not just beginning to feel but rather is experiencing in a way that is jeopardizing their existence
2) The continued impact of our impulsive consumption, yes that rubber chicken purchased as a gag gift will in fact outlive us all, taking around 500 years to decompose into rubber dust particles
To stay true to painting things that are true to their actual size, this painting measures 30”x20” (76cm x 51cm) and that’s 12” of rubber chicken that you see there 🐥

On average, people own 22 smart phones in their life time and only 20% are recycled. With 8 billion people currently on earth, there will be plenty of smart phones for all the curious creatures to enjoy, once we are gone.

“FUN BOY” is the largest painting in this series coming in at 30”x30” (76cm x 76cm)

Collector’s preview & pre-sale goes out today so make sure you are signed up at ThinkspaceProjects.com by @brownkid

Once we are gone, life will thrive again, our trash, the only proof of our existence; imagine all the fun that this new life will have, with all the crap we left behind.

Working hard to wrap up this new series, titled “Fun and Games”, which will consist of 9 pieces, including the largest paintings I’ve ever completed but also some lil guys to make sure a piece of this series is accessible to all.

This is a cropped view of one of the larger pieces titled “Looters” (2’x3’)

Make sure you are subscribed to @thinkspace_art news letter to receive the preview of the show and purchase any work before the show opens on September 3rd, and if your in LA come have a beer with me cus I’ll need one (or a few!) 😵‍💫🍻 by @brownkid

Sometimes life takes you in unexpected paths and so, after more than a year, it feels so damn great to be back in the studio making art again! Not sure that this will reach anyone out there since I’ve been gone for so long, if it does tho, let me know how you’ve been and know that although I haven’t missed the annoying social media pressures, I’ve missed all my buds in this creative community ♥️
Anyway, glad to have made it through the artless tunnel I’ve been in and super stoked to be back in LA soon with new work soon ✨

Plastic bags are used for an average of 15 minutes before being discarded, the remainder of their 25-30 year life, they swim in the ocean and fly in unison with the birds and the whales✨

Don’t miss this once in a lifetime opportunity to see some of the world’s best artists all in one beautiful space- @brandlibrary by @brownkid

Adding the final details to an extra special piece for an extra special exhibition ‘PERSEVERANCE-20 YEARS OF THINKSPACE’

I won’t get too word-ie but damn it is surreal to be showing alongside a long list of some of my favorite artists in this monumental show. Thank you @thinkspace_art for being the first to include me in a gallery show 6 years ago and for always having my back.

•STILL HERE•
A painting about survival. About rebirth. About deep roots and their ability to bring us back when lost. Hang in there everyone, we need all the good people to stick around.
Big thanks to the homie @talilomarfil for inspiring this painting, soon to adorn the cover of his new single “Roots”

Please reach out to @antlerpdx if interested in learning more about this piece, opening tomorrow night as part of the group show Wilderness V by @brownkid

Realized I posted a pic of this guy before he was actually all done, so here he is completed. Made me happy to paint him, reminded me so much of my own kiddos while doing so. Funny how artwork can carry such energy.

All the work in this show is super so make sure you check it out if you find yourself in Philly!

Three things:
• Still alive and working on some exciting new projects!
• Sorry for the quiet- I swear I try to post more frequently but thennnnn 😬
• Here’s some funny pigeons as an apology for not posting more frequently by @brownkid

•The Greatest Gift•

Since very little, I’ve been terrified of death. I know, it’s a common fear. Recently though, I’ve begun to look at death with a bit more optimism. I think in large, because I’ve come to realize that one’s turn must come to an end, in order for someone else’s to begin.

‘The Greatest Gift’, is dedicated to Shawn Mary Vezinaw Hosner & Susannah Kelly, who made a massive impact in my art life & whose turn ended way too soon, you are dearly missed.

Installation views of ‘Alive & Well’ from Anthony Solano.

This Saturday, February 3 from 12-6pm is your last chance to catch Anthony’s show in person. Viewing Room live on our website (link in bio).

Within his evolving story, a theme that remains consistent in Solano’s work is nature’s strength and ability to thrive under the pressure of living surrounded by all the human stuff that, for the most part, does not decompose quickly. Different from the previous stories told, in ‘Alive & Well’, hints of recent human existence become louder, and the artist asks himself “who is Alive & Well? The thriving life that so strongly existed before, or could it be humans, that this body of work refers to?
