I guess the cliché thing would be to say “He who finds a wife finds a good thing” (Proverbs 18:22). And while that’s true, I don’t think that’s what moves us the most.

What I love most is that through Christ, we are both new creations. “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.” (2 Corinthians 5:17)

Neither of us is defined by who we once were. Christ has redeemed us, transformed us, and given us new life. Looking back at where we’ve been and seeing where God has brought us leaves me in awe of His grace.

Today wasn’t just about asking the woman I love to marry me. It was about making a commitment that our future marriage will belong to Christ first. That our covenant won’t simply be between the two of us, but between us and God.

I promise to pursue Jesus with you, to lead with humility, to love sacrificially, to forgive quickly, and to keep Christ at the center of our home for the rest of our lives.

What God has redeemed, He is now writing into a testimony. And I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life watching Him continue His work in us.

To God be all the glory. 🤍 taken in Montana by @browsbyciafa
