A little behind-the-scenes of the process 🤍🎨

I started this piece with the intention of creating 1 canvas with the scripture 1 Corinthians 13:4–8. I originally thought I’d be finished by now, but as I got further into the lettering, I realized I wanted to give part of it more space and refine the layout as well as making it a two-canvas set featuring the scripture. As I continued to work through this piece I realized I wouldn’t have enough room to put the scripture all on one canvas and I don’t love how condensed it started to feel around the middle.

So instead of rushing to call it finished, I’m going back, repainting part of the background, and reworking the lettering so the final piece feels more intentional and polished.

This is something I want to carry into my future pieces and commissions: taking the time to make something I’m genuinely proud to put my name on. 🤍

Still a work in progress… but I’m excited to see the final result. ✨

I had the pleasure to make this piece for our giveaway winner @_sole17_ 💗✨ she welcomed her beautiful baby boy in December 2025 and I am so honored to be able to capture his precious baby feet in a piece that she loves! Something that brought me joy in doing this was seeing how he naturally had “x”s in his feet creases and how his name is spelled “Jaxon” with an “x”!! Gods perfect creation!!

This piece was inspired by Susanna’s name. Susanna means “lily” or “flower,” while the sparrow represents her middle name. As we await our baby girl’s arrival, I wanted to capture the excitement of becoming a parent, while also incorporating the meaning behind her name into something we can cherish forever.
