On Thursday, November 19, we host the Philadelphia Premiere of THE PINK VELVET WITCH, a documentary by Bruce Grossman! Winner of The Coney Island Film Festival!

Niki Brisco, known as The Pink Velvet Witch, is a shock performer infamous for swallowing razor blades. This film is an uncompromising look into queer lifestyle and subculture, capturing BDSM and sadomasochism as ritual, art, and individuality. Told through raw vignettes and live performance footage, it traces Niki’s life as a trans queer renegade carving out a legacy in New York City.

Don’t miss the chance to see this jaw dropping spectacle live, followed by a Q&A with @pnkvlvtwtch herself, director @brucemichaelfilms and @misteretheclown of @deadflowersphilly.

Tickets are on sale now! @pinkvelvetwitchmovie #philamoca by @brucemichaelfilms

The hotly anticipated collaboration between Director Bruce Micheal and Drag King Vape Kid

“We bonded over a shared love of silent films, mafia movies, and practical effects, and we said ‘we gotta make a short!’ It didn’t hurt that we’re both Italian. The process was very devised. Bruce had an outline, but we pitched back-and-forth a lot and found a lot of magic on the day. He wanted to give my physical acting room to breathe. I liked that. I think it gives us a sense that this guy is actually made of meat and that was important to me”
