It's time for #lookatmynaturenails hosted by @lookatmynailsdamnit and this month's theme is animal migration. So allow me to introduce the Gray Whale! I chose them based on their proximity to the PNW and impressive migration distance. I painted two tail flukes that are slightly different because every tail is unique and can be used for identification. These whales are unfortunately listed as endangered. They live in shallow waters near coastlines, and that leaves them susceptible to boat strikes and fishing gear entanglement. Better regulation of human marine activity is needed to protect them. Things like lower ship speed limits and better fishing gear accountability can make a difference! by @brukisnails
Can I just paint all Halloween nails all the time? Because I am on a roll! #shortnails #halloweennailinspo by @brukisnails
Spooky spooder nails! I'm having way too much fun with glow polish lol. I used 5 polishes and one stamping plate for this. I had to hand-paint the spider. I was going for black widow and got crab spider instead. 😂 #shortnails #spookynailart #halloweennailinspo by @brukisnails
It's my first October post so I used Mooncat The Avatar State to make some glowing ghosties! I compared The Avatar State to Glow In The Dark Taco and found that GITDT shines brighter initially, but then fades faster. The Avatar State really holds that glow! Base colors are Cirque Colors Empire State of Mind and White Lie. I stamped the ghosts with Maniology plate M415 and White Lie, then painted over the stamp with The Avatar State. I'm not so good at freehand painting so stamps help me out a lot! #shortnails #fallcolors #spookynailart by @brukisnails
Mooncat Banished Prince I am SO in love with the Avatar polishes I got. Mooncat hype is pretty valid. This one could almost be duped with some Holo Taco Solar Unicorn Skin and a red base of your choosing. Cirque Colors Empire State of Mind is very close to the cold state color. A dupe wouldn't have the fun thermal transition, though. #mooncat #avatarthelastairbender #shortnails #fallcolors by @brukisnails
#lookatmynaturenails collab time and the theme is wings! This was the hardest decision I have made so far because there are so many beautiful wings in the world. I ended up choosing bats, but shout-out to the birds and bugs out there rocking some wicked cool wings! In the end I had to choose bats because they are THE ONLY mammal to have ever evolved wings to fly (gliders are cool but don't count) and that deserves attention. On top of that I am obsessed with the bone structure of their wings because THEY STILL HAVE HANDS! AAAAH, their little fingies! 😭❤️ Bats can carry rabies (and rabies is nothing to play with) so they are best loved from a safe distance, but worthy of our love nonetheless. Protect their habitats and always wash your shoes before and after visiting places with bat colonies to reduce the spread of white-nose syndrome! Ok, that is my Ted talk lol, and thanks to @lookatmynailsdamnit for hosting! ps. I used Spirit Fingers as a base for this bat art so it was perfect for the Holo Taco x Safiya release! by @brukisnails
Holo Taco Nightshade and Wild Child for my first attempt at aura nails. A perfect pairing of purples! Y'all make nail art look too easy, but sponging is always a struggle for me! I'm pretty sure I hate it. 😆 For some reason these nails are reflecting my ceiling in the photos and I couldn't get rid of it, so I guess I'm just really on the struggle bus today! 🤪 #holotaco #shortnails #auranails by @brukisnails
Mooncat MY CABBAGES! Mooncat polishes are generally above my pay grade, but I LOVE Avatar the Last Airbender so I picked a few faves from this collecion and finally bit the bullet. No regrets! This color gives strong peridot vibes so I will definitely be using it for future August birthday manis! 💚 #mooncatpolish #avatarthelastairbender #greennails #shortnails #peridot by @brukisnails
Donut Spunk by @crackedpolish is a super classy polish despite its funny name! It is pearl white with a dash of taupe and I think that makes it look more like a natural, wild pearl than the usual stark white pearl colors. Holo Taco Sage the Day and Bring Me the Teal. A perfect little taste of Fall color. #holotaco #shortnails #fallcolor by @brukisnails
It's #lookatmynaturenails collab time again! The theme is symbiosis so I painted lichen! I stamped instead of handpainted this time, and used all Holo Taco polishes. Scroll through the pictures to get some lichen fun facts! As always, big thanks to @lookatmynailsdamnit for hosting this awesome and fun collab! #shortnails #holotaco #lichenart by @brukisnails
I'm wearing Holo Taco Birthday Brat because tomorrow is my birthday! 🥳 #holotaco #birthdaynailpolish #pinknails #shortnails by @brukisnails
