The fact is I’m a normal bloke from Birmingham who started running again 8 years ago.

I have a beer, never count a calorie and do this sport as a hobby, this tells me there’s someone else sat there RIGHT NOW not realising if they just keep showing up they’ll also smash the doors off their goals 🫡

BUILT DIFFERENT 🐺

Massive confidence booster to go run @maratondesevilla after only a 5 week specific block of training with no target other than get some mileage in the legs

Ran to feel and soaked in the occasion for 20 miles before putting in some work to close with a 35min last 10km

THATS IT - DONE 🥷
•
13 weeks of running complete, in the last 13 weeks we’ve moved house 3 times (Cornwall to Brum) and gone through the most amazing carnage of watching Amy give birth to Hunter, our Son. In 13 weeks I’ve missed 8 sessions in total, not a single Threshold or long run session was missed though
•
Forgive me for being proud of myself that after 23 marathons I’ve still found the fire in my soul to keep turning even when I could have used excuses not too
•
Whatever happens at @berlinmarathon will be insignificant to the journey I’ve just been on since May. Cheers everyone of you who has sent me messages of encouragement and support to now
•
I said from the start I’m not doing this for me, I’ve nothing to prove in the marathon
•
I’m going for a PB to hopefully show someone out there, regardless of age or circumstance it’s not too late
•
It’s not too late to look in the mirror and say “ I’m not done, I’m not fu*king done”🦁
•
Time to get some recovery, get this fatigue out the body then turn up on race day
•
