Bloody lucky to get a TCS Major Marathon ticket for my first World Marathon Major. 🥹

During the race, I could feel my shin splints getting worse, and at some point, I couldn’t feel much at all. But the best part was seeing all the supporters cheering for everyone. The community in Sydney was absolutely amazing — everyone was cheering you on, even if they didn’t know you.

My emotions were all over the place the whole time. And every time I felt like giving up, my body and mind just kept telling me:

“10km in ;Halfway there.
37km in; Come on, keep pushing.
You can see the Opera House now.
You’ve got this.”

And somehow, I made it to the finish line. 🥹🏃‍♂️

I’m not the best communicator at first—I can be a little quiet or awkward—but give me some time and I’ll open up. Once I’m comfortable, I’m actually pretty funny, a bit cheeky, and easy to talk to.

I can be quite different when I’m at home, though. I’m usually quieter and enjoy focusing on my own things, relaxing, and having some downtime. Sometimes music brings out my crazy side—I’ll have a burst of energy, then I’ll be calm again afterwards.

I also enjoy going out and doing things by myself. I’m quite comfortable exploring, learning, and experiencing new things on my own. I know it might sound a little unusual, but I’ve always enjoyed my own company and find it easy to do things independently. That said, I’m always happy to join friends when they invite me or when there’s something fun to do together. by @brun0han

Do I truly want to live in Australia for the rest of my life? I’ve asked myself this question so many times. But the answer is always yes so far!

I can really see how much I love and enjoy the life I’ve created here. My friends and work are great, too. Of course, life isn’t always positive, but I can say that I feel much more positive here than I did back home.

I still see racism, negativity, and unfair things sometimes, but overall, life here has been really good to me.

I’m grateful and appreciate how lucky I am to have so many good things around me. 🤍

Life begins with appreciation, when my fear turns into fearlessness.

Seeing all the good and kind people around you makes you feel safe enough to be yourself, instead of always hiding behind your fears.

I know sometimes it feels safer to pretend to be someone else, but when you’re surrounded by people who make you feel fearless, it also feels like freedom.

Because you’ll never get this moment back again. There are people in hospitals who may never get the chance to do the things we can do.

When you see athletes with disabilities pushing themselves and doing so well, let it inspire you too. It reminds us to be grateful for what we have, make the most of every opportunity, and enjoy life whenever we can.

Life is too short to worry about things that are beyond our control. Focus on what you can do, appreciate every moment, and keep moving forward.

My first major World Marathon — I actually did it. 🥹🙌🏾

This one means so much to me. It was incredibly tough, especially after three HYROX races and running with shin splints, but I refused to give up.

There were moments when my body was telling me to stop, but I kept pushing, one step at a time, until I crossed that finish line.

Proud, exhausted, emotional, and grateful. ❤️

Thanks for being crazy enough to do Men’s Pro Doubles with me 😂 It was cooked, but so much fun. I was definitely pushing his limits during the game, and he kept telling me to keep the pace 😂

I think @jakewilliamson makes me want to do Men’s Pro, but I’m not quite ready for it yet. So thanks @syl_enciso for being my Men’s Pro doubles partner. You’re my hero 👊🏾

Because of that, I started training at @scottsgym_ . All the trainers there are amazing, and everyone looks like an elite athlete to me. It really makes me push my limits every time.
Even though I’m progressing pretty slowly, I’m still pushing harder than I normally would in training. What a good effect! 💪🔥
