A dear friend of our family has experienced great loss recently after two years of long-term medical and then hospice care for her beloved husband. One unfortunate surprise after his passing was a severe leak from a porch above a sunroom which severely damaged one window very badly and a second one in a couple of areas. These windows could not be replaced.

I don’t do restoration work like this often but this was a special circumstance. I had to completely rebuild the window sill as it was rotted through completely and housed the mechanism to deploy the window when rolled out like a mini “garage”. Besides the window sill, all 4 corners were also devastatingly damaged. Now, the repair is seamless and shows no sign of restoration from the inside nor outside of the window…And, the window is mechanically sound.

This is where my skills and training as a decorative artist come in “clutch” as they say. I couldn’t do this level of repair and restoration without my experience and it was an honor to be able to help with this project and alleviate the frustration of having all the sunroom windows replaced—and unknown contractors in and out of their home for several weeks during this time of healing 🙏🏻

Unfortunately, houses may shift over time and cracks occur. Thankful I was able to execute a successful restoration! 👩‍🎨

My friend, @chatterie_de_th told me once that I had “fairy fingers”. I am not sure what fingers I used, but thankfully, this repair was almost seamless thanks to @javiergonzales expert drywall repair and quite a few layers of paint and glaze to work this in.
