breathe blood clots lazaruses lies laying awake
before dawn I crease skin's secrets hammer sin
blot summer skies slip stream dream's demands
I mangle times tin shack wounded wind from the north
I stand firm attack what always hurts most
I mould mornings mist never retreat just fail
fall down I keep my piece pocket poor man's soul pride
I make mistakes miss birthdays I know how love tastes how hate always washes away I watch the moon set forget every poem I ever wrote a legend with no lore a stain upon the sun everything you ever dreamed of
