In this video, we speak to Sara, an MA student in Diplomacy and Global Governance, who shares her experience of studying at BSoG.

Sara explains what attracted her to BSoG: the opportunity to study in Brussels, surrounded by international institutions and professionals working within them.

She also reflects on her valuable experience of working on a Capstone project for a real-world client, the European External Action Service (@eudiplomacy).

Among her most memorable experiences were taking part in negotiation simulations, which gave her first-hand insight into the world of diplomacy, and a #NATO simulation exercise, where she had the opportunity to meet fellow students from around the world.

Her advice to future students? Alongside your academic studies, make the most of everything Brussels has to offer!

More than 650 participants gathered in Lithuania for Disinfo 2026, organised by our close partner, EU DisinfoLab, to discuss the latest challenges in tackling disinformation.

🤝 ANTIGONE (Dr. Nathalie van Raemdonck) and EDMO BELUX (Dr. Nadia Tjahja) presented their projects at dedicated stands, connecting with experts and exploring new opportunities for collaboration.

Dr. Tom Willaert, senior associate researcher at the BSOG, also contributed to the panel “Still Watching: Platforms Under Investigation”, discussing the evolving role and responsibilities of online platforms.

Disinfo 2026 was a valuable opportunity to strengthen connections across Europe’s disinformation community. We look forward to continuing the conversation!

A full room and valuable insights into international careers! 💼

Today, Prof. James Bergeron led the lecture “Starting Out in the International Institutions: How to Get It Right”, open to all BA and MA students at the BSoG.

From the EU and NATO to the UN and beyond, students explored the skills, professional mindset and practical knowledge needed to navigate international institutions and prepare for future careers.

The full room reflected our students’ strong interest in international affairs and the opportunities ahead!

Thank you to Prof. James Bergeron for sharing his expertise and encouraging students to think about how they can turn their ambitions into meaningful careers!
